because lin literally doesnt get to touch the ball. his team mates dont pass to him. instead, parson has become the secondary ball handler. parsons is definitely playing more as a point forward this season. when lin literally stands in the corner, you know he's not going to touch the ball. now this isnt to say mchale or the coaches tell him to stand there all game, but when the plan is to space the floor, and harden/parsons/bev are all above the elbow, he's got nowhere else to go.

watch some earlier games this season. he used to get off ball screens from the corner and then handle the ball above the elbow. coincidentally parson was slumping early on. then when parsons turned it on, lin got injured and parsons became point forward from that point forth.

the coaches have to make it clear that lin leads the bench EVEN if harden is still in the game. when lin comes in at the end of the 1st, harden has played 10 mins straight. he's gotta be a lil tired, why not give lin the ball and use harden's good spot shooting?

its easy to see when lin gets to play pg. he doesnt stand in the corner, brings up the ball, and his teammates pass to him early and often.

 

Relax brother, this is still Harden's team, no 1 is stealing his thunder. Lin just needs to learn how to play with him and this team would be a killer

 

Yeah, Lin is 6th man until McHale & the team start spazzing. Then he's Rockets saver extraordinaire.

 

Plus your whole post doesn't even make sense. We all know who the stars are. But let's be real. Jeremy has been nothing but a professional through this whole ordeal unlike Asik. He's put up solid numbers last year and this season. He's far from a star, but trade Lin, and we really gonna roll with Bev and an Aaron Brooks? At the end of the day I'd take Lin in the 4th q needing a shot if it comes to that than a Bev shot.

I think we'd be really dumb to trade him unless we're getting a CLEAR upgrade back. He's just hitting his stride and I believe he will figure out how to be just as effective off the bench again.

Spurs lost!

 

this team won't win championships. harden is good, but not durant good. and since we live and die by harden, it won't happen. but if we tried a more balanced approach, say a more Pistons approach when they won the championship (billups, wallace, rip, etc.), we could be much better. but not they way we play now.

 

LOH pivoted the thread with the whole, Jeremy Lin needs to play like this instead of playing like the cowardly lion he has been (actual wordage) without even just factoring the circumstance/being happy that Lin and the Rockets picked up the slack with harden out.

 

Great win. We lose two in a row to Memphis but come back and beat the Spurs and Dallas in Dallas. That is huge and with the Bulls beating the Spurs, we gain more ground.:grin::grin::grin:

 

In order to steer away from the Lin vs Harden BS.... The Spurs are going to lose and the Rockets will only be 2.5 games from 1st place in the division.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear some fool will open an thread telling everybody a streak is coming like no one else is capable of reading.

 

Man you got to stop, why can't you be happy for a win? Lin is not even a superstar on this team and you're placing so much negativity on him.

And honestly, i don't think Harden will get us a championship with the way he plays, just look at Melo.

There's a reason why San Antonio gets to the finals and teams like Knicks don't, because hero ball kills championship teams.

I'm not going to lie, i was excited when we got harden, but with how he plays defense and how he holds the ball, i'll have to reconsider.

 

Lin had plenty of great games alongside Harden last season, for example against OKC.

Instead of developing this further, Rockets instead pulled the starter spot out from under him undeservedly and started yo-yoing his position.

 

Freakin' LOH... let's just enjoy this win. This is B2B win!

match and that meltdown against the Grizzlies a few matches back.

LOL thats funny...tbh when Harden comes back Lin is going straight back to the bench for the 4qt, I wish the coaching staff would find a way to make it work, oh well, go rockets
