Morey: Royce White is the worst first round draft pick of all time

It's not just that, this line really galls me:

"Let’s not turn him into a punch line, though. A lot of this isn’t Royce White’s fault"

I'm sorry Dwyer but nobody forced White to go to the NBA, he was the one who said to the Rox that flying wouldn't be a problem. Not only that the team was willing to compromise, even provided a bus so he wouldn't have to fly. It was White's fault he didn't show up at preseason training camp, it was his fault he quit on the team after he got sent to the Dleague, and it was his fault he betrayed the trust Morey and Mchale put on him.

It's not White's fault he was born with anxiety problems, but it was definitely his fault his NBA career didn't work out, esp. given the technology and advancements in medicine available nowadays. A lot of people with similar problems push themselves to work everyday without the support White had received.

 

This article got locked up in the GARM, for GOOD reason. Dwyer is a sorry writer and was just looking for hits to boost his dwindling career. Its sad he had to use CF this way.

poor guy. Didn't he also conceive 3 children in that bangbus we got him? Dude is going to be poor as hell and end up being on the Maury show.

 

I don't think any GM will take a risk on anyone with social anxiety disorder from now on, thanks to Royce White.

 

Yep. Anyone with a mental illness will be avoided like crazy now.

Look for some team to snag a star in the 2nd round because he has tourettes or ADD or something.
