I was not specifically talking about YOU. I was talking about the scouts who said he lacks the "IT" factor... Like most criticism of Teddy, there is no legitimate evidence to support it.
Leaf's agent wrote in a book that he convinced Leaf to blow off a meeting with Indy so they wouldn't draft him.
You realize when he was with the Bills they made 10 playoff appearances and 4 straight super bowl appearances, right? Of course you do. He was also the GM for the Chargers when they made a turnaround during the LT days. But i know you knew that too.
I don't understand how someone is an elite pass rusher, yet throws up 3, count em, 3 sacks in a full college season against kids who wont be playing on Sundays. Clowney supporters who don't think he is raw haven't watched him. It is easy to pick off the kids in this forum that "claim" to watch game film, and claim to be know the game. I am not above them at all, but playing college D-1 football under a great coaching staff, I have a leg up on some of the posters in here. Clowney got hyped after his SC Top 10 hit. Clowney is as raw as bar, but a much better physical specimen. I hate pass rushers. Aldon Smith was polished. Von Miller was even more so polished. Clowney isn't. He is just a physical freak with the mind equivalent to Duhwight(I love Dwight to death, but the unfulfilled potential makes me want to scream!!!!!).
It appears Clowney didn't want to get hurt for the draft and took it easy all year. That's fine, but he should be playing for more than himself. He should have a team first mentality. You know who has that? Teddy Bridgewater. Before a big game last year, with a broken wrist and a sprained ankle, he was scared and contemplating not playing because he knew his NFL future could be in jeopardy. What did he do? Manned up and played anyway because he knew his team needed him. He didn't only play, he had a great game. That's a player I want on my team.
I don't know man. Teddy doesn't have the "IT" factor. But oh wait, Johnny Manziel does so just draft him. He may not be able to read a defense for poop, but draft that guy.
Yes sir!!! He manned up and earned an invite to the Sugar Bowl where he got to wreck Florida. If that's not an "IT" factor... Then "IT" does not exist.
i think the "risk of injury" for NFL QB's is overblown. NFL protects QB's to a fault. They rarely take massive hits.
Which bone exactly did Johnny break? Pocket QBs are protected. They are a lot less protected when they run the read option/ run around, which we will see JFF doing fairly often.
Teddy wants to go number one badly. Says it's a dream of his. He also said he wants to buy his mom a pink Escalade when he signs his contract. Apparently, he told her he would in the third grade. Pink, being the breast cancer awareness color. Do it for Teddy's mom.
Shoulder bruise vs. broken wrist and sprained ankle? Without the ability to run JF is average at best. We get it, you don't want the guy, but you haven't made 1 single good point since you got to this thread. But on the bright side, your input is one of the major reasons that I continue to refresh this thread repeatedly. So thanks!
To be fair, Skippy also predicted that Tim Tebow would be a star in the NFL so the man knows about NFL QBs.
If you read the post I said injury factor may play a role when evaluating both. Not once did I compare the injuries.. You did that on your own. Have fun shopping for tampons today Mz Bridgewater.
A sprained ankle is much more detrimental to Manziel than it is to Bridgewater. So much of what he does depends on his mobility.
And what happens when you put a player in the box who can keep up with him and tackle as a QB spy. Johnny can be neutralized. He plays hero ball too much.
