I honestly think Patrick Beverley is our most important player.

I disagree. While he is a solid player, he is definitely expendable in my opinion. He falls short defensively far too often to be considered elite. His shooting is also inconsistent at times. His primary benefit is his surprising athleticism.

I think Beverley is the most important X factor. We need him to score 11 to 15 points a game and I think that helps put the Rockets over the top when it comes to being a great team.

There's going to have to be substantial improvement because he's only averaging single digit points.

Love Bev - but we don't really rely on any more than 10pts from him on any given night really. In wins, he's averaging 9.9pts and 8.9 in losses. His shooting % is important as he's one of our main spot up shooters - he shoots37% from 3 when we win, and 26.9% when we lose. So yes, if he scores well efficiently, it bodes well for us as long as everyone else isn't sucking.

    PB is a glue guard.

He is the duct tape that holds together the disparate parts of the starting rotation.

He is great just needs to tone it down or hold his energy. He tends to get in foul trouble when he gets pumped up. And we need his defense on the court not on the bench.

... and yet you don't know how to spell his name. For shame, OP.

I know. He has some offensive skills. His spin move for some reason is consistently good when he breaks it out. We just hope he hits his 3s. I would like to see a couple of more drives to the basket. At least keep the defense honest.

Trollish post designed to generate overreaction from LOFs who will irratinally put down bevs game, followed by so called "real rockets fans" who feel compelled to put down lin, followed back by irrational LOFs responding to that. Meanwhile actual rational rox fans who enjoy bevs defense and lins offensive spark avoid this circlejerk and goto the hangout or just stop posting altogether except once in a while when someone says something really stupid.

Are you really trying this hard to be a troll? CP aint a superstar but to say hes more expendable than a defensive minded pg who is a liability on offense? I mean seriously, are you really saying this? How many d league teams have a pbev vs how many d league teams have a CP? Theres an effing reason for this. How far do you think a team of tony allen, avery bradley, ryan bowen, dikembe mutumbo, and andrei kirilenko is gonna take you? And im even including a hof guy on your squad

Call me irrational, but I think Harden and Howard are our most important players.

I also saw that you posted that he doesn't make plays. I'm assuming you meant on offense? Because Pat has had clutch boards on both sides of the court as well as steals and charges taken. I don't agree that he's a vital (critical) part but I love his intangibles. His attitude and motor things we need.

Bev is great, but i would say with all honesty, he is overrated at this moment. But what the heck we all overrate our rockets. We are Fans. that's what fans do.

YOU must be kidding!!! To say the least. However I hope that he can develop into that player as you describe! Unfortunately we have Coaches who seem a little on the low side when it comes to developing talent and a Manager who has played little attention to the already disposed talent which came our way in recent years.Y:p

None of those things you've mentioned involves any substantial court vision or execution. Bev doesn't make plays. He doesn't really score either. The only thing people really talk about are his intangibles. There's nothing wrong with expecting more from our starting PG than someone who just runs around with his hand in people's faces.
