Eh...I don't really remember it that way (well...I think there's not really much of a strong bias for any of the 3). They bashed Sony pretty hard during those days (and rightfully so). PSP/PS3 has no games, $599, 2nd job, PS3 was dead after losing FF, etc.

It is an unprovable claim one way or the other I guess. Though I think it is odd to even think an ENTIRE forum is biased towards one system (unless it is PS/XB/Nintendo forums of course...but that's assumed).

Sure Neogaf is biased. I got banned once for typing M$ because it was well known they love to money hat and another time for making a not so positive comment about the 360. Just because the general opinion doesn't fit with yours, they're now considered biased. You probably chose to be ignorant, but Neogaf gave the 360 a ton of love and lots of hate towards the PS3.

We should put our trust in website reviews like Polygon or youtube reviewers etc that get the majority of their funding from MS and are paid to only say positive things and give MS games a higher rating and give Sony games a lower rating. We should especially trust the people who are paid by MS to give us an unbiased outlook.

    Keep up the fight.

It was a lot less bashing and more hilarious 'meltdowns', because a lot of posters were not handling Sony's struggles well. But even in those days the threads were major issues: losing exclusivity, horrible system sales, etc. not really the case at the moment. Like I said; MS absolutely deserves a lot of XB1 flack, but the forum has always leaned a certain way.

Final Fantasy? You mean the PS3 got better.

    Titanfall dude.

    TITANFALL

    Have you seen it?
    [/dudebro]

I don't think things will get particularly interesting for another year or so. Q4 2014 going into Q1 2015. We might start seeing really good "next-gen" efforts by then.

I actually forgot to put exclusivity in that quote ("losing FF exclusivity"). If only they did lose FF. You're right, PS3 would have gotten better in that case.

I'm still going to get FF15.

This may be a small semantic difference, but I think it's fair to say that people never prefer a game to be 720p/30fps when the same game could be 1080p/60fps. On the other hand, they may just not care that much about the difference.

That said, some multiplatform games are running measurably better on the PS4, and I'd find these protests about graphics not mattering so much more convincing if fans of Microsoft's consoles hadn't been lording over the power difference between PS2/PS3 and Xbox/360 for the past two generations.

Of course, exclusives matter more than anything. Hopefully most of us can agree on that.

    New NeoGAF insider releasing rumors:
    http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=760013
Halo 5 is next year apparently (according to him/her)

Wouldn't put too much stock into this just yet (this person doesn't have any track record), but NeoGAF mod did "clear" him.

People are different I guess. I always thought all men like women but it turned out some men like men and some just don't care that much about the difference. The world need product and services made specifically for them so that everyone can be happy.

Is it true that PS4 games are all pretty much requiring hard drive installs?

If so, has anyone upgraded to a SSHD? I'm thinking of buying a 1TB Seagate SSHD.

Every PS4 and XBO game is installed to the HDD. Welcome to next-gen.

Oh wow. Did not know that. Thanks. Well hopefully an SSHD works good enough for me. SSD of that size is crazy expensive.

    ^Fixed.

No one disputes that different games for different systems matter. I said as much. What shouldn't be in dispute is that if it's the same game, 1080p/60fps > 720p/30fps. This shouldn't be a controversial point.

I remember seeing some articles on Kotaku that mentioned what the performance gains were in the PS4 when comparing a regular SATA HD, vs a Hybrid Drive, vs an SSD.

Long story short, Hybrid was a considerable gain over regular. SSD was NOT a considerable gain over Hybrid (sometimes Hybrid even did slightly better). So buy Hybrid. Way way cheaper for practically the same performance.

Edit: even better, found a cool video that shows regular, Hybrid and SSD load times side-by-side.

I'm thinking a Hybrid drive is a must when I get a PS4! Look how slooooooooooow that OS loads on the regular drive!

This is great info. After watching this, I'm pretty sure I'll be investing in a 1TB hybrid drive when I do pick up a PS4. I had planned on getting a bigger HDD anyway -- I buy way too many games to be satisfied with only having ten or fifteen installed at a time.

It's clear you are a grown man who obsesses over a piece of console. However, what I dont understand is why you personally bring up the resolution/frame rate between the 2 consoles when you already own a gaming PC that you plan on playing Titanfall on....
