Republican Michael Grimm threatens to throw reporter off balcony

History will not look kindly on the tea party era.

It will remember however the glorious age of American peace and prosperity ushered in by President Obama.

I'd like to request more details of this story/video. The article and video are clearly biased. It reminds me of those facebook "news stories" that also end with "watch the video below and SPREAD THE WORD". Probably somebody trying to drum up sympathy for their cause -- likely stopping the "don't assault people" policy. Need to hear the full story not just this biased piece.

 

Just more despicable behavior from the Right that lends credence to the bully/thug persona the party has taken on in the last several years.

He didn't actually throw the reporter off the balcony, so I don't see the big deal. It's not good PR for a congressman to lose his cool, but it's not exactly a scandal (by itself) either.

 

It's not a scandal, but it's certainly bush-league, unprofessional, ahole behavior.

 

It's unprofessional and he should be reprimanded for it. The reporter did his job; Grimm just sucks at keeping his emotions in check.

If any of us normal folks acted like Grimm did at our jobs, it would very likely result in swift termination. Even if the person was in prior good standing.

Apparently this is par for the course for Congressman Grimm. Looks like he has an anger issue. I should also note that he represents a district that President Obama won in 2012 so he should be extra-worried about the impact of this. If Democrats recruit a good candidate, he's toast.

 

Kinda on the fence on this one.... on one hand, the shot was pretty lame if the context given is correct, and I could see where that would make someone lose their cool. On the other, the things he said are a little extreme, and he looked abusive in its delivery.

 

Seems there are reports that this congressman has a history of thuggish behavior brought on by years of steroid use. No wonder he snapped.

Should be reprimanded or at least censured by congress.

 

Pure liberals cannot even blame the people they hate. Steroids can't work that way, yet it still isn't 100% his fault.
