Probably 4-5 days out of the week, but it's usually just one or two drinks. I used to get tipsy/drunk every Sunday to watch football, but stopped doing that this year. I rarely drink a lot nowadays.
Drink probably 5 nights a week but only 1 or 2. About once a month and on holidays I will get hammered. I try to stay under the 14 drinks per week rule. I like alcohol but I also like my liver.
I've always wondered why people drink only 1 or 2 nightly. You can't get any significant buzz and Beer tastes like crap. I'm genuinely curious. Do you guys get easy buzzes, or is it just a habit? I rarely drink, maybe once month, only when when I'm doing something with people, never while chilling at home. When I do drink, I wanna feel it. Not stumble around drunk, but a sound buzz.
It's usually margaritas. I don't drink beer. And yeah, if I make two margaritas (each 16 oz), it gives me a little bit of a buzz. If it's not margaritas it's whiskey and coke or some other drink mix that I'm craving.
Penile implants are cheaper than ever these days. Probably more cost-effective long-term than measuring dicks in this thread and future ones like it.
I can get a slight buzz on 2 depending on how much I've eaten. I really only drink on weekends now but I used to have 1 or 2 beers a couple of nights during the week just because it was relaxing.
I had two too many bourbon and ginger ales last night. Top it off with a couple high ABV beers and I'm tempted to close my office door for an hour or so.
Back in the late 90's when I was just out of college I drank 4-6 beers a night at least 4-5 times a week. When I moved here in 98, that pretty much stopped on its own. Nowadays, I can go a couple of weeks and not pick up a beer. When I do its usually 1-2 a night about once every 2 weeks. Usually I drink when there's a Rockets game being nationally televised, or a weekend night when I've got some time to relax. When I do get a chance to go out, I'll drink somewhere between 3-5 beers. I drink for flavor nowadays instead of to get buzzed/drunk. Thats why I typically drink bocks/ales & lagers. I'll probably have one or two tonight while watching the ROX-mavericks game.
I decided I wanted to cut back last Nov, so in Dec I set a goal to not drink at all until Christmas. Since then I'm down to about 1-2 days a week tops, and no more than 2-3 drinks on average. And that's def an overestimate. Between cutting drinking all together for several weeks and picking up weightlifting, I just haven't had the urge lately. And honestly, I dont really miss it. For now...
I drink 1-2 glasses of wine every single night, unless I'm having Mexican food. Then sometimes I'll have a Margarita or two with it. If it's a weekend I may also have a Maker's and 7 or a high quality tequila. If it's the summer I might have a mojito on the weekend, or vodka gimlet. Sometimes with bbq or Indian food, I'll have a beer or two. Sometimes I'll just have a beer or two for enjoyment. I never really drink to excess.
Normally do not drink during the work week unless I have a really stresful day and then maybe 2 glasses of wine. The weekends I can finish 2 bottles of wine on Friday and then an 18 pack of beer on Saturday.
I don't understand the practice of drinking beer after beer. With an alcohol content so low, you have to drink a lot of liquid to feel a buzz, and then you're peeing all night. So, when I have a beer, it's usually just one. Sometimes 2, but I usually regret the second one. Obviously, hard liquor is the most efficient, but I don't enjoy it, so I drink wine mostly. And I'm pretty moderate about it -- maybe a half bottle once in a week.
4-5 days a week. Weekdays, usually split a bottle of wine w/ the wife over dinner or have a few beers if she's drinking white (i hate white wine) Fri/Sat night - uncountable. estimate 1-2 cocktails to start the night, couple of bottles of wine at dinner with the wife, and then hitting up a bar with a transition back to cocktails or beer until i'm sleepy and need to go home. yeah, we don't have kids.
