Okay, i get that you don't like/want Teddy, but can you explain why? Preferably something better than "He's alright". He has great footwork, great mechanics, great pocket presence, good accuracy, good arm strength, football IQ that is off the charts, has shown great poise in his biggest stages. I just don't understand what there is to not like? There's been like 10 franchise qbs in the past 5 drafts so odds are that there are close to 2 franchise qbs. Clowney may have elite talent but nothing has shown that he will have elite effort/work ethic. It'll be easier to build the line in the later rounds than it will be to find a serviceable qb.
that's simply not true. he's a very good QB prospect. i've watched the guy play a ton. i've read what experts/scouts have to say about the guy. i'm a believer. I think he's absolutely worth the #1 pick in the draft. there are other QB's in this draft who may very well prove to be good NFL QB's..I'd take Teddy over every one of them.
maybe you havent noticed but that guy doesnt know anything about football. He just says things like "teddy" isnt good without actual facts. Hasnt showed us any clips, any analysis, any stat references, nothing. Just pure speculation and speaking out of his ass.
hehe Yep... He tried the whole "Teddy has small hands" thing... ERRRR WRONG He simply wants Clowney. He's infatuated with a luxury pick. It's cool though.. Free country. I learned to enjoy his mindless drivel. He definitely thinks he is smarter than he actually is. When you prove him wrong he responds with "I'm not responding to you anymore!"... and then two days later he's responding to you. Huuularious!!
I would definitely draft a quarterback if I was in Cincinnati's position. They have a super stud young receiver, a young good running back, a big young tight end, a decent offensive line _ all their ducks are lined up in a row. If they take a QB in this draft that kid would be in a good position to succeed.
This entire post is literally you talking out of your ass. Please if you can't back your opinions with facts stop posting. You are mucking up the quality supported by posters like OMR who actually make a conceited effort in supporting their opinions with analysis and fact. Posters like you and Remii have single-handly turned our small Texans subforum into a quasi Texans Talk.
The so call saying that "Defense wins championship" can't be said about the Modern football as much. Ever since all the new rule changes, the league has become more offense oriented. For instance, ever since the passing interference rule change the QB's in this league were setting new records each year that were previously really hard to break. An average QB (Schaub) can look really look good at times in this era of NFL, but you still need decent enough defense to field to win the SB. You can draft defense year in and year out, but how often do you get the chance to draft one of the top QB and overall prospect. Most scouts have TB at least in their top 5 in talent in this year's deep class of prospects. Some believe that even if he doesn't turn out to be franchise type QB (Rodgers), but he will still be good enough QB (Smith/Bradford) that can win you games. I'm new to CF, mostly daily lurker, but thought i give my opinion over this topic.
Pretty easily, it's called player analysis. There almost certainly isn't any top tier QB's coming out of this draft, but there are some guys who could be solid. If Dalton isn't a "franchise QB" then none of these guys will be.
that is some grade A "player analysis"... i can take a pile of crap and call it "player analysis"... but, it doesn't make it "player analysis".. catch my drift?
Bob, you don't analyze you just pontificate lol Dalton is garbage, there are 3-4 qbs in this class that are better than him off the bat.
Combine.? We don't need no stinking combine! Just look at the video below. He clearly towers over the two story building behind him and the way he handles the brocoli his hands are at least 18 inches wide. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/48e1DICKeIs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
