What's the disappointment? Where are you? When I left the house this morning, my older boy was in bed asleep and my younger boy was playing video games. They didn't seem real disappointed
My company gave us the option to work from home today. I checked my email at 6am thinking everyone would be coming in with the updated forecast but saw that 2 other project managers were working from home. So I decided to work from home. I love all the people up north laughing at us. These are the same people who freak out every summer because it gets up to 90 degrees. KILLER HEAT WAVE!!!!!111
Why do you want it to? This city cannot handle even the slightest freeze. If you really desire wintery conditions, go up north. After one winter, you'll never want to experience that stuff again.
Hearing such conflicting reports. People saying rain will stop in the afternoon or it's suppose to get really bad In the afternoon. I'm guessing it will be somewhere in between the middle
I gotta get me one of those flamethrower snow shovels. I could've used it this weekend when I was dealing with the ice dam forming on my kitchen roof.
I'm living in Oklahoma and woke up to a nice pile of snow on my car this morning. Just had to wipe it all off and drive to work and be careful not to skid on the ice on streets that hadn't been salted. And then in summers we still get 100+ degree weather. So yeah, we get the both sides here.
We're in an association so our driveways and sidewalks get plowed/shoveled, however, they neglect to do the 2x2 square of concrete that connects the street to the sidewalk. By the time the plows roll through, it's a 2x2x3 block of almost solid ice. It needs a flamethrower and jackhammer.
There will be enough scattered moisture and rapidly falling temps this afternoon that you do not want to be driving home around 5PM. Even a small amount of moisture is no joke when it comes to driving in these temps. Don't expect a blizzard, but do expect hazardous driving conditions.
Snow flurries out my window on the west side right now. Very light and mixed with rain/sleet. Temps are supposed to warm up by 1. It's supposed to be above freezing by then, so the afternoon commute in Houston shouldn't be bad.
