http://blog.chron.com/ultimatetexan...ms/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter The Texans have hired an assistant for special teams coordinator Bob Ligashesky. Bill O’Brien hired former NFL linebacker Doug Colman as their assistant special teams coach – a position that Ligashesky had until he was promoted to replace the fired Joe Marciano in December. Colman was coaching linebackers and special teams at Coastal Carolina. He also coached at Nebraska, his alma mater, and Tulane. Meanwhile, other former Texans coaches have been in the news. Vance Joseph, the defensive backs coach, was hired by Cincinnati this week. Reggie Herring, the linebackers coach for the last three years, was hired for the same position at Chicago. Karl Dorrell, the quarterbacks coach the last two years, is the new offensive coordinator at Vanderbilt.

Don't like the sounds of that, of course there could be some personal beef between them that's causing him to say that.
Turner had several excellent seasons, and Matt Ryan was pretty well protected during Dunn's time as assistant o-line coach with ATL. I won't count 2012 when the o-line personel fell apart and Turner broke down due to declining skills. Don't know what to make of this hire, but i'm hoping for the best. Really wanted M.M. If i remember correctly, ATL was running a power blocking scheme. DO i have that right?
The offensive line was terrible this year in Atlanta and a lot of that was blamed on the scheme that was run.
Any reason he would take the same job with Texans as he had with the Falcons, or was he not retained by them?
He wasn't retained after the O-Line was garbage and there were complaints about scheme and his coaching ability.
Waiting on Munchak took its toll. He ultimately went to Pittsburgh. Ferentz, if he was ever going to come, probably didn't like being put on the back burner while we waited on a different coach. There might not have been a lot of options left by the time we knew we had to look somewhere else.
