No I did not since they kept on putting money in the jukebox so I assumed they would not turn it down since they were making money off the jukebox

 

I don't understand why you wouldn't just ask...

 

I know I should have that was my fault. I was just typing on here to see if anyone else had experienced this at jakes that will be the last time I go there

 

How is the management supposed to know that you were dissatisfied when you didn't even give them an opportunity to do anything? You are not going to go their again, simply because they were catering to what their customers wanted (considering, as far as they knew, you were OK with the music)?

 

well since they promote themselves as showing the rockets games I would assume that they would show the games with the volume up so people can enjoy the game.

 

He was being considerate and not a douche bag by not saying anything. If people are playing music and having a good time w the jukebox why the Fk would he ask to change it? It's more of a majority rules and having manners.

They promote Rockets games and should know to have the game audio on.

 

Yeah I went there a couple of weeks ago and they had college football audio while the rockets game was on.

I just asked the bartender to switch the sounds, he was more than happy to do so. Magical.

 

but that day people were dancing and having a good time with the music. I would look like the A-hole who turned the music off.

Have you guys tried Diablo Loco? I went earlier during the season and they had the game on with sound.

 

Do they I guess I will be going there next time.

 

I went. They were closed so i went to Nicks Place.

 

9 times out of 10 Jake's will have the sound on for the Rockets games on. I definitely understand you not wanting to say anything to the staff ( I made a comment about this a page back) but i can say with confidence that they are nice folks and will take care of you.

Y'all... Why complain about the sound after the fact on the internet if you won't even bother to ask them in person to change it? My mind is sufficiently boggled.

Warning them about what though? I been there when they've had the sound on... you didn't ask therefore you shouldn't give them bad publicity for it.

 

You're trippin. There was only one incident where they didn't have the sound on and i go often.
