Morey needs to realize that he is a GM,not a coach, you can't win a title with this system.

And no big time coach in the world would except this,so enjoy McHale.

What will it take to make you idiots happy?

Morey puts together a team of gritty, hard-nosed players: "This team is garbage, we're stuck on a treadmill of mediocrity, we need stars!"

Morey goes out and gets stars: "OMG, our stars aren't tough enough, we need gritty, hard-nosed players!"

What you need to do is sit back, understand that you don't know as much as the GM of our team, shut the **** up, and let the man do his job.

The season isn't over yet. No reasonable person expected a championship this year. We use this year to set ourselves up for next year.

And we're in a good position to do that, because Morey has been outstanding.

The problem is that the Rockets lack other ways to score when their 3s aren't falling. Also the Rockets have sub-par 3 point shooters at best.

Your right. Moreyball does not need to be the primary strategy for your offense. Daryl's a good GM, but he thinks he's a lot better than he really is. He needs to stick to player personnel and stop tryna coach the damn team. I agree w/ you 100%

To be honest, I just think he thought if he teamed Howard and Harden he could surround them with a bunch of 3 point shooters and he could win a championship.....My only problem with him, as it was with CD, they don't know how to build a team.

    Bad moves;

    1) Why in the Hell you go out and get Broke Down Brewer, WHEN YOU HAD JAMES JOHNSON on your D-League team....you could've signed him for less.

    2) The Dragic move was his worse decision thus far. You have one of the best you point guards in the league and refuse to sign him because he wanted an extra guaranteed year.

    3) Signing Jeremy Lin. Lin was never anything more than a one hit wonder. And to sign him was a BAD move. He is the 9th or 10th player off the bench at best.....He should be playing behind AB now!!

Right on, the Garm is full of r****ds that try to call people that make a discussion a "r****d", instead of actually posting about the subject at hand. Geez, talk about no-lifes  Butthurt people act like I make these things daily.

Here's some tips for inciting a meaningful discussion:

1.) Don't post it immediately after a loss.
2.) phrase your post in a questioning manner rather than in a way that suggests the concept is very easy and you seem to be the only one who gets it.
3.) Be respectful to our GM, who is probably the best in the NBA. He has earned it.
4.) Post more than one sentence.

Good post. Luis helped us out a lot in this area and with his low post scoring.

Morey's biggest problem is he has this "Moreyball" strategy beset upon our coaches, and then brings in players that don't fit the strategy particularly well. Jeremy Lin maybe the most glaring example.

We should hire Brad Pitt as our GM, and Jonah Hill as analytics guy.

I will reserve comment about Lin until he plays under a different coach or system.

I just find it strange that a player could flourish in one system and founder in another.

I thought you are talking about moneyball.
Moneyball is bad. But I think Morey is doing OK.

So you're saying that if we just get rid of Moreyball, the Rockets are going to win in the playoffs? Did all the basketball experts just go, "Wow, the Rockets should win the championship, but man those 3 pointers and at-rim looks are just holding them down!"
