Actually...I thought XB1 was better. And it's not a "clan" is sport league of grown men....LOL. I actually like the idea of the XB1 kinect, tv integration, etc. Had NOTHING to do with Sony Hatred. Keep trying...may be you find something that will stick.

It's biggest hurdle continues to be licensing. I've been shown information about how difficult it is to offer TV shows and movies produced and distributed in the US licensed for other regions - and the number of hoops they have to jump through is insane. With music, it is even more ridiculous due to residuals. With games, they have other hurdles like the different ratings boards to clear that have limitations on digital distribution.

We need a global rewrite of copyright and licensing laws before we have a truly open internet.

Even Netflix, the king of licensing can't get licensing outside of the US.
It is a game changer. Although some in this thread may be "tired" of shooters, it is easily the most popular gaming genre - and will continue to be so. Titanfall will be the first "big" next gen game.

I just embraced the name I was called. So, to save myself and those who want to argue with me - I'll just go ahead and call myself a fanboy. We can get that out of the way from the get-go, and hopefully have an actual discussion like adults.

Hundreds of thousands of people have played the game. I personally played it at PAX Prime originally, I played it five days in a row - about 30-45 minutes each day.

Others have played the Titanfall alpha on Xbox One last weekend. In this very thread and the Titanfall thread there are several "gameplay" videos from these alpha testers.

Long story short, you can generally play the game before release date.

It makes perfect sense for xboners to be not interested in games that feature strong story, gameplay and graphics elements, after all they are not online only 6 on 6 with AI below 720p no recoil games that perfectly fit xboners tastes. Not to mention for xboners free games are not as good as paid games.

It also appears to me that many young posters like to use words like "lol" and a lot of all caps to make their statements seem more convincing. I think it is an interesting technique that all young posters should probably use more often. I myself is too old for that. I know only to post facts and will probably just stick to that.

Anyways back on topic it looks like Metro Last Light, Outlast, Dynasty Warriors Next, ModNation Racers: Road Trip and etc will be joining PSN Plus early Feb.

    Stop talking out of your...

Titanfall is online - and it is fantastic. Excuse me, while I take the feedback of people who have actually played it over you... to this point that is hundreds of thousands of people.

I find it hilarious that you are bashing immature posters...

You only post facts and hyperbole apparently.

I completely understand and respect the fact online only 6 on 6 with AI below 720p no recoil games are fantastic to xboners, obvious ms and respawn know this too. And when you know the taste of your audience you are targeting, other things become irrelevant. From this perspective, xbone is following the same path as Wii U.

Also I never called anyone "immature". This is a word usually used by only young people to disrespect others and make themselves look better. I only described a common phenomenon of young people who likes to use "lol" and capitalized words to make their statements seem more convincing, just like how they like to take things personal and start attacking other posters. It was a bit off topic that's why I said back on topic right in the following sentence. I apologize if anyone found it offensive.

Also I think there has been enough discussion about titafall in this thread already and some other posters have already suggested dropping it so please stop bring it up. Of course you are free to continue to talk about it, but I myself will most likely not be a part of it.

Now back on topic, Resogun, currently free on PSN Plus seem to have got solid rating from both critics and players.

Talk that some of the Xbox One GPU OS reserves might lighten up a bit for devs. Right now, it seems 10% of the GPU is reserved for the OS. 8% is for processing video (for Kinect I believe....gestures and such), while 2% if for voice. The 2% will remain, but it sounds like the 8% will now be given to the developer (they can decide to keep it as is). Not a huge boost, but should help some. Not sure if that means something about Kinect, but it seems smart to me.

Also, seems like MS will announce a game today:

Probably a game from the Crackdown developers.

I've enjoyed the discounts as well. Picked up Dragon Fantasy for next to nothing in the Holiday sale, and picked up Tales of Xillia for $10 during 14 for 14 sale.

Only downside is, my 80GB HD filled up fast with all the downloads. Had to upgrade to a 500GB.

I think this is the news from MS?
    http://www.polygon.com/2014/1/27/5345342/gears-of-war-xbox-one-microsoft-epic-games-rod-fergusson
edit: Didn't really think about it, but it did seem like Black Tusk might have been working on something else (now cancelled?). Might have been doing some early Gears work, but until the deal is final, guess you couldn't go 100% forward with development on the project. Maybe just focusing on tech and some gameplay concepts until they figured out the IP stuff, but seems like a bit of a waste.

Anyone play NBA 2K14 on PS4?

I went over to my friends house who just got a PS4, and that game was buggy as ****. Half the time, it didn't want to go past the screen where it shows you all thirty teams unless he went to the XMB menu and disabled internet via settings.

How is NBA 2K14 on xbox one? I honestly just play 2k14, a few FPS, and run a media server on my current console PS3.

Does anyone use the xbone connected to their directv receiver to get program guide information and other media info?

NBA2k14 on Xbone isn't bad... there are still bugs that occur.
    1. I've had it freeze my game a couple of times - rare occurence
    2. Signs out player 2 randomly during a game - somewhat common
Maybe a couple others... please note that I only partake in quick play with friends. Haven't touched any of the other game modes.

The TV feature is pretty cool considering you can add favorite channels so your guide is basically filtered to your liking. I don't have DirectTV so I am unable to check out the DVR features if they exist.
It's also voice control so if you want to watch ESPN without touching the remote.. it can be done.

2K is pretty horrible designed and coded to rely on some of their servers. When they have problems, the game freaks out in random ways. Pretty sure that happens on both platforms.

Yeah, disabling the Internet would fix some of those issues, though then you lose out on some things that require Internet access (even if they shouldn't).

What console do you recommend to others?

Reading the 200+ 1 star reviews on the PS4 on Amazon regarding the blue light of death have me scared as ****.

My friends are cheap and likely aren't getting a next gen console until a few years from now so I don't really care what route I go since I'll likely be playing multiplayer with strangers anyway.

I've always been a Sony guy, but I'm huge into media, and mainly reliability. Plus, the fact that I can walk into a store and get a xbone now has me intrigued.

A lot of stores got more stock of PS4s. Even order online and pickup in store with BB or GS, assuming available in your area.

I have a launch PS4, so do a lot of the other people here. Mine works fine. There have been a couple hiccups there, but nothing like the 4 separate xboxes I had to buy. I've heard maybe one person report their's was dead, but it was replaced quickly.

I played 2k14 a lot, and it is a bit buggy. I'd still buy it if you need a basketball fix, hopefully all of the kinks are worked out sooner rather than later. Seems to be their servers at the moment, they're probably running them off the same boxes as GTA: Online, lol.

I don't strongly recommend either at this point. I prefer PS4 (own one and am very happy with the decision), but the console to recommend depends on the person I'm recommending to.

Wouldn't really worry much about PS4 (or XBO) reliability. I was maybe just under a rock, but I didn't even know there was a Blue Light of Death (I did know about some issues at launch though). I think both are probably around a ~1% or less defect rate, which is pretty good for launch systems. If you wait it out some more, it will be less of an issue.

Depending on what you mean about "huge into media," you will either be much better served with a XBO or you might be happier with a PS4 (and using other devices for media). I like media too, but not the things MS offers. Don't care about cable integration (no cable), don't care about NFL stuff, etc. Give me a quality Netflix app and maybe some other things, and I'll be happy. Sony has some plans for IPTV service through the PS4 (and other devices), but that's a long way down the road (and it's Sony...so it will probably fail). If it somehow does take off, that would be nice since I prefer that kind of approach to TV (help me get away from cable companies please). Others feel differently, and for good reasons.

As a pure gaming machine, the PS4 seems better. But for someone who just plays a few games, that might not matter that much (well...except for the fact it is also cheaper).

I would probably say something like:

You only care about games? 75% push to PS4 (unless you REALLY like some XB exclusives like Halo, Gears, Fable, etc.).

You like games and media? 50/50 (depending on the games you like and how you use media)

You only play some games, but really big into media/tech gadgets? 75% push for XBO (or something like that...I might just recommend getting some other device).

If you have a Vita, add some points to the PS4 since the PS4 and Vita work very well together.

But to repeat, I actually just recommend waiting another 6-12 months at least. More games will be out (better ones). The platforms will be more polished. More deals will be unveiled. We can see how Gaikai works (if that interests you). Etc. Depending on how sales go, XBO might even get a price cut near the end of that range.

It is pretty clear that any developer who look to challenge themselves and develop next gen 720p/30fps games should target xbone as their main platform.
