happy birthday Australia. after reading a lot about Australian history in the last months( from Tasmans new holland to James cook, new south wales, and artur philips first fleet, and the foundation of Sydney cove). a lot of interesting history. btw, I wonder what would have happend, if the American colonies didn't revoult against the British, and gained independence, on the 04.07.1776. As a result, the British were in a need to a new quick transportation solution, and chose Australia as a solution? if the circumstance were different. 2 years later, in 1778, the british did a great job in habitaiting and making australia what it is today.
Happy Australia day all Is the best day of the year without a doubt. We really are lucky to live in such a brilliant country
Australia Day, when sounding like an uneducated troglodyte is a source of national pride. It's Australia, not Straya. Have some respect for yourselves and your culture.
This is our larakin culture. If you don't like it, go sip your soy chai latte in an Oxford st cafe. 'Straya day mate, for Fair dinkum true blue Aussies.
You can be a larrikin without sounding like a moron you know. But go on, keep acting like you're proud of being dumb because every other VB or XXXX drinking bogan is doing it
Happy Australia Day! Even though it is already past in Australia. Now if I only could get some Carlton Beer and Tim Tams.
What a great way to end the beautiful countries birthday. Out at a club, they put the cricket on and every person starts getting around it, after the Aussies won everyone started "horses" THATS THE WAY ITS GONNA BE LITTLE DARLING.. For those saying we are bogans can you calm down, well I guess Izak summed it up the best. WE WILL GO RIDING ON THOSE HORSES YEAHHHHHHHH #straya one of the best moments for me as an auzzie
1. Lighten up, Francis. 2. 'Straya' is an Internet meme, and is just a bit of fun. 3. I'm definitely not a bogan (far from it actually), but I went to a 'bogan themed' Australia Day party yesterday. Was great fun. Had a barbie and some great beer (no VB or Fosters, just some nice Aussie craft beer), listened to the Hottest 100, and played a game of street cricket. 4. Happy Australia Day!
