Courtney Lee is better than Vernon Maxwell

Do you realize if we trade Asik for an expiring plus a late pick and pay $3 million of Lin's salary + picks for another expiring we can sign someone like Lowry, Monroe, Dirk or Deng? Even Hawes would be better than Lee.

Cap space is the most valuable asset when you have two stars. Players will want to sign here for less. Add to the fact that Houston has to state income tax and free agents will be lining up. Cap flexibility is more important now than ever. It's what got the Rockets Harden and Howard. Why stop now? Because you guys want to make it to the second round? Forget that.

Los, you've been a Rockets fan long enough to know what's up man. You saw T-Mac (who was more talented and a better leader than Harden) and Yao (who owned Howard) get bounced out of the first by the Mavs who lost to the Suns and they lost to the Spurs. They capable shooters and a solid role players in Bob Sura, Jon Barry, David Wesley, Mike James, Mutombo, and Padgett.

My point is what makes you think Courtney Lee and Brandon Bass are going to put us over OKC, the Clippers, let alone the Pacers and Heat? It's championship or bust. You guys want to trade away a lot for 1 backup to our best player on the bench? For 8 minutes? Neither Harden or Lee can play the 1 or the 3. Brandon Bass is worse than Jones. You don't understand just how bad he would be. 1 of D-Mo or Jones will end up being a very good backup 4 and if we get him then he will stunt their growth (or worse make them quit and want to be traded).

These "new" fans have no idea. Old school NBA players played with heart and they were talented. These young guys are too fixated on social media and their next contract.

Bottom line, we should've taken that Bass/Lee deal from Boston. Waiting out for Love or Aldridge is very risky. Sometimes those little moves end up being better than the big ones, and our roster has WAY too many holes to be . Morey's definitely had some very bad missteps.

You might not even be here after this season. Morey didn't take that deal because, sure it would add some depth this season, but it locks the Rockets down to vet mins and mini mid level exceptions for the rest of the Dwight/Harden years.

Who cares if you want to see the Rockets make it to the WCF or have delusions that we can beat the Heat in the finals.

Imagine how hard it was for Morey to say no to that deal. It's his job to save money and he could have got Les out of paying at least one of the $15 million balloon payments next season.

I like any true Rocket fan, wants to see the most competitive group of guys on the court. I'd rather had Bass & Lee playin for us than Asik, in a suit, sitting at the end of our bench. We don't have the luxury of wasting seasons with two superstars playing at a high level. If a move is not made by the deadline, this season is a waste.

I'm not sure what imaginary window you've given Daryl Morey, but remember championships don't grow on trees. If Morey thinks he's gonna hit a home run by trading a slightly above average disgruntled center, we're never gettin a ring doing that

Grizzlies 7-2 now after acquiring lee now both their losses were less than 3 points we all knew that Courtney lee could play good to seem h playing well akon with dragic two of my favorite recent rockets. His perimeter defense has really been nice for the grizzlies as we our self have noticed lol

I agree with you but locking out cap space in lee and bass really would hurt our flexibility that Morey likes but that future pick was really what tempted me with that celtics offer

The balloon payments are moot for us since the 1st two years cost us only $10mill per player. The math is the same at the end of the day

    (5+5+15 = 8.3+8.3+8.3)

Bass is perfect for 2 match ups I the west okc & clippers, he a tuff guy that will guard Blake griffen same height but bass I tuffer can get in his head. And lee is a guy with length you can depend on to guard Crawford or chase reddick around, be can chase reddick around but who's going to guard cp3?

bass can pull ibaka it the paint against okc because he has to respect his jumper it's wet like ppats, this would give Howard more room to work, lee could guard Westbrook or Durant we don't have no answer for Westbrook. Bass is a vet that is physical when drives in he's going to dunk no Layups WE NEED THAT, lee moves with out the ball & plays D WE NEED THAT.

then we would've got a firs round pick which would've made us have 2! that's make Lin easier to move to make us even deeper going into the playoffs and frees money for les again.

Then you sign Bynum or camby to back up Howard.

Playoffs are all about heart, matchups & being deep. Howard is not getting any younger we can wait around and have half of our salary $30millon to centers. Les and morey should want to. It waiste any years they're going up on tickets sales year after year, I expect to WIN NOW or at least try

^^^ lee, bass, Bynum> casspi, Garcia, dmo

And that's not even considering what we could get for Lin since we would have 2 first round picks available to package one from NY camby trade, & one from asik BOSTON trade.

Lin needs to be gone for that contract, he doesn't start and he's not a 6th man, he doesn't fit our offense standing around shooting 3s that's not his game.

One more not only is bass good on D he sets solid picks he's use to setting them with rondo, we set the weakest picks in NBA right now with casspi coming off the bench, that's another problem with our offense

We have him. His name is Harden. The problem is we don't have a #2 and we're paying #3 like he's #1.

Chandler Parson is better than Courtney Lee, so Lee would be our 4th best player

I saw both.... Max was definitely better BUT I do think the Bass and Lee would've been a good trade for the Rockets. It would've addressed our weakness. MOREY MAD ANOTHER MISTAKE, OUTSIDE OF NOT RESIGNING DRAGIC!!!
