Well from what he looked like at the Senior Bowl, "undraftable" looks like a fair assessment.

Yes he's not that great. Derek Carr look the best in the senior bowl. The rest our 5th rd or undraftable

I don't think Fales or Garoppolo looked THAT bad honestly, not that they'd be a 2nd rounder.

Aside from Bridgewater and maybe Manziel there are no other QB's worth drafting in this class. You simply won't get any value by trading down and thinking you can nab a QB in the second.

IMO if they trade down you have to go all in on defense, which means they are basically conceding next season. A good defense won't get you very far in the playoffs w/o a elite or very good QB.

Not really, there are guys like Mettenberger who will fall simply because he's hurt right now.

The Niners were in the SB without an elite or even very good QB last year, the Seahawks are in the SB this year without an elite or even very good QB. I don't think trading down is a legitimate option though because the only player in this draft worth trading up for is Clowney and that's who the Texans should take.

Boyd was talked about as a potential 1st round pick at the beginning of the season so I watched 4 or 5 games. I just don't see it. He was a good college QB but I just don't see him doing anything in the NFL. He's somebody a team that already has a QB might look at as a backup, hoping he has the potential to become better. But IMO, teams that are looking for a QB to be their starter (either now or in a year or two) should stay away.

Well if Boyd was a smarter QB he could be this year's Russell Wilson. Game manager with wheels looks to be his upside.

Mettenberger is not a 2nd round prospect. He consistently stares down his receivers, doesen't seem to go through his progressions and above all has a surgically repaired knee which may or may not hold up in the NFL. Just for that knee alone I wouldn't tough him with a high draft pick.

Sorry Kapernick and Wilson in my books are "very good" quaterbacks. They make plays with their feet as well as their legs and step up in pressure. And I disagree about clowney. I don't like the fact that he only had 3 sacks for being such a "generational" player.

Even better, getting him in the 3rd would be a steal.

Fair enough, we have VERY different books then. Both are just game managers with wheels and Kaep isn't even a very good game manager.

That's fair too, I feel like if you looked into it deeper, you'd change your mind. I don't think anyone would harp on his sack total if they'd taken more than a cursory glance at his season.

Russell and Kaepernick hardly throw the ball and even with their rushing yards they still don't produce at the level of very good QBs. They're good young game managing QBs. Plus those teams lean on their running backs.

He really hurt his draft stock.

If we go with Clowney, I wouldn't mind taking Aaron Murray in the second.

With the gimpy leg, I'd think that's way too early.

Shaun King says Teddy Bridgewater is the top QB in the draft and it's not even close.

Bernie Kosar says TB is fantastic QB. Has watched him since the 7th grade... At the Miami game he wanted to hate TB. A leader and how amazing he throws with speed and touch, the plays he made with his feet, with his escapability and with his touch very rarely do you have a kid at his stage that can do it all.

Agreed. Even without the injury, I don't think he goes before the 3rd round at the earliest.

Yeah I think Murray was considered a 3rd rounder even before the injury. He's absolutely a gamble as an NFL prospect.

    Thanks for sharing.

It's amazing what Bridgewater is able to do at the ripe age of 21.

If the texans draft him, do they start him from day 1? Or do they bring in a vet and have a competition?

I see people are starting to come around. I didn't watch the senior bowl, but I didn't need to for me to find out he's trash. Inflated stats due to the offense clemson runs just like manziel. I'm not saying he's that trash, but hes definitely not good enough to be considered for a top pick.
