McHale exposed himself tonight. You never see a Parson ISO, but we saw it tonight. Which means that Harden ISO are in fact plays, and not just Harden being a ball hog. The sticky balls things is just smoke and mirrors.

Sub Lin for Bev (how can you even have a guy who is 1-10 in for the last play knowing we need a bucket- McFail). Inbounds to Parsons, Parsons draws the double team, pass to the open man- take the uncontested shot (a 2 would be fine) and win.

Memphis knew they could leave Bev open all day and wanted us to give it to Bev for the shot. They played us perfectly. No way they would've left anyone else that wide open and if they did, I would've been okay with anyone else taking the open shot tonight.

The exact same play they ran for the 10th 3 pointer. That was a well designed play out of a timeout. Beverley had the ball at the top of the key and parsons was in the left corner, parsons came across the lane and came off a d12 screen at the free throw line for an open(slightly) 3 to beverleys right. Swish.

Honestly TJones should have been in for PBev, Even if we shot a three or mid range, having TJones in there highly increase our chances for put back.

Seriously, how did PBev gets so much trust from Mchale?

Can't run any play where the screener has to move.

With the way they officiate Dwight he would get an offensive foul 80% of the time on his screen.

    Here is my suggestion:

You put Harden and Howard on one half of the court and have Harden get the ball so it appears they're working the P'n'R - much like the one earlier in the game.

Parsons is in the opposite corner.

TJones and Lin/Bev are on the 3 point line extended on the side with Parsons too.

As Harden and Howard are working the clock down - Jones goes to set a pick on the 3 point line in the corner for Parsons.

Parsons goes to use the pick simultaneously as James starts to make his penetration.

Parsons cuts back and goes baseline for the alley oop.

Gasol is worried about Howard. Harden's man is worried about him.

Parsons man is nowhere near Parsons on the baseline / if he reads it T Jones can then set an actual pick whilst Chander's running baseline to actually get him open.

There are so many variables you can create with just that one standard play as well.

Those are similar plays how dragic gets open looks in PHX.

I dont think we could run that for Parson he might be too slow to get open, or the persons setting double screen will be too small

Parsons inbound to Lin.....Parsons then runs across the court through double screens by Harden and D12....hopefully he's got some space Lin hits him for the open J.

Now after Harden sets the first screen somewhere in the middle of the floor, he then should get a screen by TJones. So if Parsons doesn't get free, the back-up play is Lin hits Harden with 5 seconds or so to do whatever he wants, but ideally at that point he should be open.

If all fails, Lin puts his head down tries to go towards the basket vs Lee .

eh too complicated and too much work. it be easier to have lin camp out at the three and have the hot hand create for himself.

That last play was a reward for Chandler. He'll get better at it.

He's now emerging seriously as our 3rd star. I don't know what James was doing the whole night.

What play do you think McHale called for? Do you think he wanted Beverley taking that shot?

And that's the problem. He didn't anticipate Parsons being trapped and the play breaking down so easily. He does not have much forethought.

    You go for 2.......

With 8 seconds, u can drive( make layup or get foul)-harden or u post up( easy basket or draw a double team and kick it out for a quick drive or easy basket) Dwight

I don't care how hot ur hand is.... A three is a lower percentage shot made compared to a layup or under the basket

Howard on the bench play tones at center along with dmo or cassia. Harden lin and Parsons to finish the game. Put the ball in hardens hand pick set by Jones, harden drives to the lane scores or kicks out to 3 pt shooters. The lane will be open with zbo and gasol on the perimeter.

There u go mchale, thank me later

I would go with Howard, Harden, Caspi, Parsons and Lin - this 5 lineup was rated one of their top lineups. Parsons inbound to Harden or Lin. Time for 2 PnRs, so I would start off with a Lin/Harden pnr, followed by one with Howard if needed, with Howard making a hard roll to pick off defenders so that Harden or Lin can take a quality mid range shot. If the Griz get through Howard's screen and perimeter is covered then I throw it up for Howard who would have rolled hard by now towards the rim. I'd bet on the Griz focusing on Parsons and perhaps use him as a decoy. If they sag off of Parsons onto Harden or Lin and Howard is covered, then kick out to Parsons for the shot. Only need a 2 pointer.

I'd take a Harden or Lin mid range shot, then a Howard at the rim and a Parsons kick out, in that order of priority.
