Do any other fans watch games like this and a part of them nods in approval, knowing that Morey is watching and observing McHale can't coach worth a damn?

Yeah, that sounds about right. Unfortunately, it also includes the part where he continues coaching for a long time. McHale isnt going anywhere till the end of his contract, buckle up boys.

LOL I wonder if McHale had his eyes covered during the last possession like Kubiak on field goals.

    Scary thought:

The Rockets rebuilding process under this coach if they weren't able to land Harden and Howard.

Uh, so have someone come out to the perimeter so Parsons can pass to him. Then drive into the paint and either put up a shot or kick out to a teammate who's likely open at that point.

Seriously, is McFail THIS inept? Teams do this thing called scouting. They know we run ISOs ad nauseum, particularly at the end of games. What do you do when the other team is ISO'ing(especially if it's the guy with the hot hand)? You double-team them and force the ball out of their hands. It's like McFail has no idea how to counter one of the most fundamental and basic aspects of NBA defense.

Lol at McHale blaming energy ONCE again.

Yeah they didn't start off with the best energy...but they played as hard as they could in the 2nd half.

The play isn't even my concern. My problem is that McFail seems to have no clue how to counter a double-team. Does no one on this team know how to go help Parsons out when he picks up his dribble? Did McFail not scream at them from the sidelines to do that? It sounds like from his remarks that once the Grizzlies double-teamed Parsons, he threw his hands up and conceded the game as if the Rockets had no other options.

I dont really post here often but the coaching has been horrible and I couldn't help it. I can sense the Rockets are waiting a season or two til they get a new coach, then a season or two to get adjusted to that new coach, then when the time comes to contend dwight will be done and our core will be broken. Stop wasting the years and get a new coach morey we need as many runs with this core as possible.

I feel like morey doesn't want a coach, i feel like he wants to run this team from management to coaching. He doesn't want someone with credentials to come in and debate his advanced stats with him. I have experience with the rockets bball ops they are so much into numbers its crazy. It felt like a laboratory in their office last time I was there. Morey is too busy trying to solve basketball. And that's all I got to say.

You have a guy that goes 10-11 from 3 point range in the second half, but draw up the last play for him to create off the dribble?

…then blame Howard for a weak pick, or Harden because they had 2 on the ball?

I'm a supporter of McHale, & like the guy…but his coaching decisions have me tearing out my hair, ESPECIALLY when we are in 'Last shot' clutch time.

That's exactly the problem. You need 1 point and you ran pnr so you can bring two defender to the ball handler. I have no idea which he was helping:rolleyes:

Can anyone remember a single instance the last two years where McHale draws up a play to get us a good shot in crunch time?

It's halfway through the season and we still don't throw the ball in to Dwight enough, don't run any offense in the half court other than random screen and rolls, and are not good defensively. Not to mention his awful substitution patterns and pretty much playing our players into the ground with 44 min games night after night.

Sadly, nothing is going to happen until at least after a second-straight early playoff exit next season.

I'm officially on the wagon now.

Either the players not capable of executing the play well, or they not knowing how to execute a play, it's the failure of coaching.

Get a new one who can coach to win close game for us.

There are whispers that the Bulls are not going to pay Thibs...if Thibs is let go the Rockets should immediately fire McHale and hire Thibs.

He has a team on paper should absolutely suck playing mediocre...and he had a Bulls team with one superstar in Rose being a legit contender. He is one of the best coaches in the NBA and is all about discipline and no BS.

I lost Mchale years ago. When Patrick Patterson couldn't set a strong pick and mchale failed to teach something so simple. A pick breh. All you do is stand still
