Surprised they got even 4 wins Bama got smoked by the Sooners LSU could barely beat lil ole Iowa A&M Struggled to bit lil ole Duke Tired of hearing about the overrated SEC, get of the wagon before it breaks apart underneath
In all the criticism of Bridgewater I have not heard one NFL scout bring up competition Its been size, size and size That is about it
Not under that screen name you haven't. And if you look through this thread you'll see me talking about him before you showed up. And you will also so people laughing at me as well about him. You'll see my home girl SheMack laughing at me about a bunch of stuff tho..
He said scouts were questioning Bridgewater's comp, I want to see what the scouts said... Keep up, I know you just got off the train but we live in a fast paced world
You say not random people off the web, and than you ask me to post a link... Lol.. Strength Of Schedule is always brought up with quarterbacks and that's nothing new. The enlightening world of Google is right at your fingertips. But if you're 100% sure the Texans will draft Teddy _ don't worry about it...
So you had no proof, no biggie. I never thought there would be any. I am not 100% I wouldn't be surprised if we took Clowney, I could live with it as long as we got Jimmy G later on.
I have plenty of proof. Just look at previous drafts and see how many quarterbacks were drafted with the #1 overall pick that faced weak competition on a regular basis. Carr faced weak competition and Bob drafted him. So I'm sure he's excited about drafting another quarterback who faced weak competition since it worked out so well the last time...
Isn't the all-time collegiate yardage and passing TD leader already on the team? If strength of competition doesn't matter, than obviously we're already set at QB. He also ranks ahead of Teddy B. in NCAA career completion percentage at 69.4%. Wouldn't that speak to his accuracy?
Carr was getting rushed in college. Literally all the snaps he took were in a pocket that I could throw in
I was talking about this earlier, college completion percentage is a lot like an NBA player scoring in the D league. Just because you put up 20 a night in the D league doesn't mean you'll be awesome at the NBA level but if you can't put up 20 a night in the D league, it shows you probably won't be able to do so at the higher level. In college you can throw a lot of what would be deemed inaccurate passes and get away with it because the defenders aren't as good. Sometimes WR's will come down with passes that would be knocked down or intercepted at the higher level. At the same time, WR's aren't as good so it can negatively affect your completion percentage. The TL/DR version is that you really need to look at a lot of tape to determine if a QB is throwing the ball accurately or not because the college stats can be misleading.
Lets sign Jamarcus Russell right now You think we could get Chris Leaf to come back and play???? Tebow?????? Lets make a run for him He dominated his competition in the SEC?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!! TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW
That particular one was Dane Brugler and Rob Rang but most scouts or draft analysts say something similar to If you haven't seen anything like that then you haven't actually been looking.
Yea... So I'm sure McNair is willing to overlook the weak competition factor like he did with Carr and draft Teddy.
