How very clever, diabolical, and utterly subversive of you. I bet you have everyone in your group so bamboozled that they are ready to take back America from themselves. I tip my tri-cornered hat to you and fear the imminent thumbs-inspired implosion of the Democratic party.
My fault for not inserting a "sarcasm" smilie. I gave you too much credit for being able to see it. Notice that I said "Democrats led by Obama." That does not include all Democrats. BTW, unlike you, I prefer the deep end where I can't drag my toes in the mud as you often do.
Thank you for your confidence, but I can move only those with whom I am in direct contact. That said, a journey of 1,000 miles begins step by step.
I suppose this is why so many Democrats are distancing themselves from Obama. They want the money he can raise from the rich, but they don't seem to want to stand next to him on a platform. BTW, Obama is the titular leader of the Democratic Party, not the leader of all Democrats. Work a little in the precinct level and you will find that out.
Gee, you mean to say that there are some Democrats that are not bark-at-the-moon crazy like the tea party Republicans?
Oh I get it. It's like Obama is the President of the United States but not every American's President. If I work at the precinct level will I meet more crazies who think Obama harbors a secret desire to destroy America?
No one has confidence in you when you shy away from criticism at every turn, dude. Go back to your thread where you debuted this idea and quit dodging.
I only "dodge" the criticisms that are merely personal attacks. I try to remain above that level, but sometimes my human frailties can't resist a rejoinder. For example, although seemingly appropriate at the time, I still regret the "dumb...(artonb)...ass" observation.
He is my president in the same way Bush the Younger was your president. Ahh, did I forget? You backed Bush in the very same way I back Obama.
Huh? I don't think I ever claimed Bush had a secret desire to destroy America. I don't think I voted for him either. I also never questioned his religion his citizenship and never used his middle name to imply he was a Muslim or a foreigner.
Please respond to what I wrote rather than what you, through your highly filtered lenses, perceived that I wrote. The operative words here are "you backed Bush in the very same way I back Obama."
You never once backed up your claim that Barack Obama is the most "far left" liberal president in American history while, in the same breath, you expressed sympathy for the presidency of Lyndon Johnson.
Then please become rational. Rational people do not assume, as you apparently do, that everyone has identical belief systems that bestow rationally only on that belief system to which they owe allegiance.
Yeah, I just pointed to very specific examples in how I did not back Bush the very same way you back Obama. You fail again. Good job.
That is because I believe LBJ had a genuine dedication to the people of the United States. IMO he was trying to serve the country rather than consciously trying to bankrupt it. LBJ didn't try to use the presidency for self-idolization the way Obama does. In short, IMO LBJ was what a liberal should aspire to be rather than what Obama is. I base my opinions on "The Vantage Point" and "Lyndon Johnson and the American Dream" in comparison with Obama's books.
