Who should take Kobe's starting spot in the all-star game?

  1. Portland has a better record, LaMarcus Aldridge!

    18.9%
  2. I don't like defense, James Harden!

    81.1%

Well LMA is a PF so why would he replace Kobe?

I hope the NBA isn't planning on getting rid of the guard positions too. "Hey! Just vote for 5 players now!"

If they do that, I swear you'll see 5 guards starting in the all-star game...well 4 guards and Durant at center...

The fact that injured players can get voted in is beyond me, when you know a player has a serious injury, take him off the ballot! Even if Kobe, Chris Paul would come on time, they have missed enough time to be eligible in my opinion. That nobody on TNT said anything about Kobe needing to be replaced, is weird to me. There's no other good SG in the West who deserves it, so yes Harden should take Kobe's place.

I really hate the new "2 gourds, 3 forwards" thing by the way!

Howard should be rewarded for being the best Crnter in the league!

It depends on health though, take the 2 voted players and then Paul, Harden, Westbrook are all miles ahead of him. But it will come down to who the coach is, Stotts will pick one of his own players, Brooks will take either Westbrook or Harden (haha if Brooks picked Lillard over Harden, Durant would probably stare him down).

I would say **** it and have players not play due to "injury".

Id have to think that if for some crazy reason one or both of them end up not making the all-star reserves (which seems very unlikey but still...) it would seriously get these guys motivated to prove something this last half of the season and going into the playoffs. Might be a blessing in disguise for it not to happen if for some reason it did.

I would definitely think a motivated H&H will show that TNT crew+ plus the rest of critics that Houston is a legit contender.
Reaching but it would be crazy if Rockets have no all star, yet win it all. Could we say we won it like the Pistons? Lol

That's ridiculous. Compare their shooting percentages on drives, for instance. Lillard is going to have a bright NBA career, but he is not the force that Harden is right now.

Both LMA and Harden will already be on the team when the injury replacements are chosen. It'll be someone like Eric Gordon.

Yes, he should. But Harden gets no respect because of that stretch where he was probably the worst defensive SG in the league. Thats on him, and damaged his reputation significantly. Credit to him, his defense has improved leaps and bounds since then but the damage is done.

A big slap in the face to Harden. The whole league knows he slacks off and parties it up but the talent is there.

    Lillard deserves it

Nobody on TNT said anything because they remember Magic being voted in after he had retired.

harden was very respected last season and into the season. They called him the best sg in the Nba but then came that ball watching. Reddick took his respect and his side piece.

Portland is fighting for a #1 seed. Houston is looking like a #6 seed.
