I'm fine with you thinking that. Also I'm not saying that there is literally nothing at all that can be taken away from watching a guy beat up on vastly inferior competition, but not nearly as much as you would learn watching him against competent competition. Watching a QB play vastly inferior competition is not much more than watching him in practice.
Considering that when played "higher level" competition, he lit him up, it honestly makes no difference. Where were this questions about Jo Flac?
Carr played in a pristine clean pocket college, it was more difficult to evaluate his ability under pressure Being able to throw/qb under pressure is essential to NFL success, Carr couldn't handle the heat, he should have stayed out of the kitchen Bridgewater can handle the heat, heck he could handle hell from how bad his o-line played at times
Well maybe all the NFL teams should use your draft model, and only draft players from the SEC and Florida St., that way we can get guys like Teddy B. and Sammy Watkins as undrafted free agents! That would be AWESOME!!!!
The question can be brought up about Steve McNair and Big Ben as well but none were taking with the #1 overall pick and all are big with big arms. They looked the part.
First of all, there were questions about the level of competition Flacco went against but his prototypical size and cannon of an arm made people overlook it and he's become a league average QB who throws way too many interceptions. I'm not sure that's the comparison you want to make because. 1. While Flacco came out of college with prototypical size and a plus arm, Bridgewater does not 2. Flacco isn't anything special as a QB 3. Flacco wasn't the first QB taken in his class and he wasn't taken with a top 15 pick.
Pretty much, bringing up competition like is means something, especially when SEC and ACC are overrated as it gets
Teddy has never really faced any tough challenges or obstacles as a football player he's put up good numbers QUIETLY. He has tremendous IQ I'll give him that so he is able to dominate a weaker conference and weaker defenses no knock on him because he don't chose who he plays he just did his job and did very well too. But manziel is the opposite his first year any doubter can say well he came out of nowhere teams couldn't game plan against him. Well now this year teams tried to game plan against him and had enough evidence to scout him to stop him and couldn't. Manziel in his second year improved every aspect of his game while having to face many challenges and obstacles and still dominated y'all want to talk about pressure and adversity I'm sure there where plenty of doubters saying manziel couldn't and wouldn't do what he did as a freshman again as a sophomore not only did he but he also did it while improving his game. So he's adaptable and improves next challenge the NFL and now there is doubters that he won't do what he did in college in the pros but BOB is there to help him adapt and improve to be great and I'm sure manziel will be able to do just that sorry for bad grammar and punctuation but this needed to be said
Also manziel has to be great all the time because people are waiting to say see I told you manziel can't afford to slip up because he knows everybody will talk about him I think he will be focused and prepared manziel is always in the spotlight similar to lebron that's why they are so close that light is always on manziel and doubters are waiting and ready to bash him the moment he incompletes one pass has teddy ever had that light and pressure ever as a college football player
You don't get it Lord have mercy you guys don't get 1. Bridgewater is playing with a weak team around 2. He operates within a pro style system and excelled in it 3. Was pressured/blitzed a lot, still made plays 4. Everything I bolded is garbage and contributes to the overhype and eventual down of Manziel. If listen to Greg Cosell, he said that Manziel didn't even have a grasp of the easy Spread offense that they run at A&M. All this excitement stuff is for the birds. That stuff means jack squat in the NFL. It doesn't work. Every top prospect is in the same position as Manziel.
What's crazy is that everyone brings up his "level of competition" but then says "OH MAN, if only we could wait just ONE MORE YEAR and get Famous Jameis"!!! He played terrible, in a bowl game against a very mediocre SEC defense, and Teddy destroyed one of the top defenses in the country....why the love for Jameis and no love for Teddy??? Is it cause he's bigger? 6'4 230?, cause if it is, then we should be drafting Zach Mettenberger? Outside of size please explain to me what Jameis has shown that Teddy hasn't?
Another fan who thinks that the SEC/ACC are leagues better than everyone else. Are people born with brains anymore or are they just told what to say by BSPN?
Bridgewater is miles ahead of Jameis interms of qbing ability. I don't know if Winston will ever catch him. SEC defenses are overrated, and a lot fans (not students of the game) FANS are touting them up
