Letting Parsons go in any manner will be a huge mistake. He is really big to this team.

    Rondo, Rondo, Rondo...

    And then some more Rondo.

They will not get the third star, harden and d12 won't allow it, and the coaching staff is too slow to recongnize talent

I bet if we had someone considered by some bball experts as the best pg in the game we might have a third best player on a championship squad. # GoranDragic

If Harden was already with the team during that summer, we probably would have committed to Dragic. His contract is similar to Jlin with exception of the 4th year.

I don't think a third star is as crucial on our team as compared to others.

I don't think most fans here realize how blessed we are with the current team. Our starting five are all above average players. We have a really solid starting 5 along with Lin off the bench.

On any one night, any one of Parsons, TJones and Lin could post all star numbers. So I guess we have a third star by committee?

Team doesn't "Need" a 3rd star. They need solid players to support the current cast.

And it'd be a disaster. Dragic cannot play off the ball. That's why when Eric Bledsoe was around he was struggling. Now that he's hurt Dragic numbers have exploded.

You clearly haven't been watching the Suns this season.

What are you talking about? The big deal about the Suns this year has been the success of their two PG lineup.

Dragic played off the ball with the Rockets quite a bit and did fine.

Then we'd be a lesser version of the Heat, Pacers, Thunder, and the Clippers. Because those teams also have solid players to support their core, and their best players are better than Harden or Howard.

Unless you want the Rockets to continously be just below the true contenders, we need that 3rd star. The only question is whether that player is already on this team(Jones, Parsons) or if we need to obtain one from the outside.

Our best player needs to make the supporting team better.

Because Harden (our best player) dominates too much the flow and the ball, that limits the ability of the supporting cast to get better.

Hopefully he learns to be great without needing the ball that much.

What? Have you watched the Suns this season? And Gogi was balling long before Bledsoe went down.

You are grossly underestimating this team and how ball dominant our stars are. A 3rd star will have to play off the ball and within the flow of the offense like Parsons does.

Give me a solid stretch 4 and some solid shooters anyday unless we are getting Kevin Love.

meh, I'm sorry I missed that last part of your post. I agree with the point that we already have our last star in Parsons. Why does qualify as our 3rd star? Parsons can be seen as our best player in over a third of the games and can give us 20 ppg on any given night. He also fills in every hole, guards the best opposing player, slashes, and is the glue of this team. Retaining Parsons and signing a 3rd star is highly unlikely which is why I am so persistent in keeping him and adding a stretch 4 + shooters.

That core can compete with anybody in the league.

Huh? Dwight Howard is not ball-dominant. If he were, he wouldn't have games where he gets 10 points. Harden played with Westbrook and Durant. Even if you add Lebron to this team Harden would have no problem playing with him.

Harden only dominate the ball because he's the best player on this team.
