New episode was great, felt like season 1 and 2. Clever, but not just random events happening for the sake of being random.
Yea I liked it, Troy playing the "raped victim" was great. Good to see it bounce back with Harmon writing again after the debacle of last season.
This is just like the recent season of It's Always Sunny. Starting off incredibly strong after a dismal outing the season before. It might just be the alcohol talking, or my heart after seeing Allison Brie do her squeal, then dance, then squeal again. But it was damn enjoyable.
Every episode this season, albeit only 3 so far, has been better than the one before it. That's understandable since they had to reboot things a little. There was definitely some of the Seasons 1-3 magic in there last night that was missing from last season.
"what are you gonna do? not have butts? oooof..." lmao. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/HrJZQH3b_9o" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I loved last night's episode. It was thematic and a parody, which season 4 had none of. Really wish they had shown who the Ass Crack Bandit was. I thought it was weird how it was about to reach a climax and they switched gears abruptly.
I have a feeling it will come up again throughout the season. I loved the end where everyone could have been a suspect.
Did anyone watch tonight's episode. It was Troy's sendoff. I think it's immediately a top 3 episode ever. Harmon really is magical. I don't think you could get more perfect in 23 minutes...
Every episode this season has been better than last season's best, with the previous two being the best of this season.
Agreed. It combined a fitting sendoff for Troy, and an awesome callback to LeVar Burton, with a uniquely Community type theme in the tradition of "Modern Warfare"/"A Fistful of Paintballs"/"For A Few Paintballs More" and "Pillows and Blankets".
This season has been amazing. Im guessing the Childish Tycoon (ship name) is a subtle way of wishing gambino luck in his future endeavors.
Is that really Troy's last episode like ever? Damn that's really kinda depressing, Pierce and now troy. Are they keeping the core as it is or they adding some new characters? What do yo guys think of Professor Buzz Hickey ?
It's the last planned episode with Troy. They've left the door open for him to return, unlike Pierce, should Donald Glover decide to return. Hickey is taking Pierce's place as the old guy. I'm fine with that. I never really liked what they did with Pierce as a character and might prefer someone like Jonathan Banks who would be a gruff old man instead of just a dick. I don't thnk there are really any plans to "replace" Troy, though I could see them incorporating Chang into group activities more.
BEAR DOWN... for midterms! we're just fat doggin. Excellent damn episode. The addition of Mike Ehrmantraut has been amazing so far.
I thought last night's episode was amazing. Perhaps better than the Troy sendoff episode, though in a different way. Loved the "Labryinth" references. I wonder how much of the audience was too young to get those. Probably a lot, but Harmon doesn't care which is part of what makes the show great. Loved the Abed call back to the "coat check girl" from the episode where both Britta and Shirley were trying to hook Abed up with a date for the dance. And they teased it early on: "Are you going to have another intense burst of compatibility with a girl we never see again?" The not so subtle references to Game of Thrones and spoilers. p*rn sites and parking spaces. Bear Down for Midterms, kids birthday party, Chang's "Fat Dog" line dance. Lots of good stuff top to bottom last night. They did a good job making sure the first "post-Troy" episode was a strong one.
