so are you saying you don't like any rockets player since 1995? if you concede that, i'll accept your statement.

Yao Ming and Ron Artest helped the Rockets win it's first playoff series since Charles Barkley was here.
Imagine if we got a prime Ron Artest and Yao Ming!

tmac had the talent to be the best player in the league. but he had no heart. his injuries were due to his own laziness and selfishness. when he refuses to rehab all summer so he can enjoy his vacation time and rehab during the regular season, that tells everyone where his priority was. on himself, not the team. vacation over rehabbing to be healthy for the season.

when he came back he refused to drive. FT line jumper again and again. lazy. we were all screaming to attack the basket, but why try for a better shot. lazy. then when he was called out for it, he decides to not shoot at all to make a point during the toronto game. he quit on the team. end of story.

anyone who wants to gloss over that fact would just as quickly forgive a gf for cheating. "oh but we had such good times together!" F that! no self respecting man would take that sht, and no self respecting fan should either. did we have good times with tmac? oh hell yeah! 13 in 33? 22 games? of course. but he became lazy, selfish, and then quit on us. he isn't a hero, he isn't a role model, he isn't a winner, and he shouldn't still be a fan favorite. he is scottie pippen part 2. he is a sweet grape turned sour. he should be remembered for what he was, an all time talent who quit on us, and doesn't deserve any more admiration from any rocket fan.

maybe, MAYBE, if he brought us a championship and then quit on the team, it would be understandable for some fans to like him because they could always say "but he won one for us." fair enough. i would probably be one of those fans. but for people to defend him now by saying "but he was good, and we won so many regular season games in a row before losing in the first round, and he scored so many points in such few seconds to win a regular season game..." who cares. espy highlights and regular season wins mean nothing without the ring to back it up. he quit on you! and he won nothing for you. i quit on him when he quit on me as a fan by throwing away games that i pay to see.

so go ahead tinman, fight the good fight!

that's not what I said, you said we should all be grateful Tmac played for us. I'm not sure if you know what grateful means, I'm certainly not that grateful at the results he brought to the team.

Just ignore him man. I don't know if he is just dumb or purposely trying to bait statements out of people by pretending they say things that they didn't. None of this guy's opinions are worth reading, at all.

I was a big Tmac fan when he joined but after he quit on us, it all went downhill. What he did to us is 1 million times worse than what Asik is doing to us now. But since its the past, lets just leave it as it is, no point hating on him...also no point praising him since he had very little impact to this team

Tinman is at it again. Can't have a T-Mac thread without tinman repeating the same tired old **** he has posted for almost a decade.

The sad thing about Tmac is that he pushed so hard to carry a ****ty team into the playoffs. Once he got his supporting cast then it went downhill.

I CHOOSE to remember the good times rather than hang on the the bad times that I can't change.

...Did you have to put "in Rocket's history?"
You must be too young to have seen or watched Moses Malone. No one was going to get a rebound if he decided it was his! He could play volley ball by himself tapping the ball off the glass until he scored during a game. Ask the Celtics...
I credit his mentoring of Dream at Fonde making Dream the focused player he became. My hope is over the years Hakeem can accomplish this with Howard. We won't even talk of "The Big E".
...next time just say in "your years of watching the Rockets".

I like how you know what he's been posting for "almost a decade" when you joined like 3 months ago. Care to share a run down of your previous avatars?
