I was just thinking econimically for Asik not emotionally or any sense of what is right.

Why does Asik care if morey has bargaining power? He doesn't why would he if he is promised he will be trade (big if).

I'm not saying what he is doing is rit, but we have to give him the benefit of the doubt because really none of us know so just making claims that he is faking it or acting like a baby is unfair until proven guilty

Even if Asik's injury was serious? Doubt it, not with his contract. People are only interested in Oden with minimums.

And even if Boston still wants him, they may only offer us Bass/Lee with NO PICK now if Asik's condition is up in the air.

That would be a steal if Boston can start offering Memphis players, how about they chuck in Marc Gasol to play back up 5

    Oden??
Are you serious,a healthy and motivated Asik is worth his contract IMO.

,Asik is a game changer, The Rockets were a top 10 defense with him last year and like 2nd worst with him. We went from the best rebounding team to below average with him on the bench.

He's arguably as valuable as James Harden just on the end of the floor. He had the 5th best RAPM in the league last year for defense (plus/minus).

Healthy and motivated are key words there. A thigh bruise that has kept him out since Dec 2nd is either very serious or his motivation and/or professionalism deserve to be questioned. Neither possibility suggests that Asik is a player another team should rush to make a trade for right now.

Anyone who's buying this BS is dense. He'll be ready to play the day Morey finds a team looking for a defensive beast, with the offensive game of a blind moose, and the maturity of a ten year old girl.

Very true and to the point. Thing about his injury situation which doesn't make sense to me is, if he really is the p***y most on here are calling him and he is indeed faking this then i really wonder what his reason would be at this point

The other point which makes me believe in it is him saying, that its not about pain but only the swelling is bothering him. Now if someone would fake an injury you would think he would tell everybody he has some strange pain and he can't rely on his knee etc. but how on earth can he be faking a swelling? Please all the guys who nearly get an orgasm while calling him names and be so sure about him faking care to explain those two points to me?

(No sarcasm intended but only disgusted by the name calling btw)

Oh wow now the name calling goes on for the posters who believe in the injury? So you are calling yourself mature while questioning him and others? LOL

quite confusing how the can't get him to play? If he plays he trade value goes and if he's trade value is higher more teams will want to have him. Thus giving Asik and his agent options and leverage.

Anybody else but me think that Omer sounds like the Turkish version of Robert Barone (Ray's brother - Everybody Loves Raymond)?

The live interview was hilarious. In more ways than one.....

I am not talking out of my ass - I have had a knee issue all my life since I was a little kid (my left knee doesnt bend back all the way - causing a lot of different minor joint pains) so I know knee pains - maybe not to the extent that poor Omer has of course

At the same time I dont need to be Omer Asik or a doctor to know that when someone who has had an injury that is somehow mysterious and with little to no info on seems really odd in today's age of medicine and speed of information. The fact that Feigan tweeted again today that there is no timetable is even more of a telling sign - if Asik had something that required surgery he would have by now. If he elected not to have surgery he would have been back on the court or there would have been a time table for sure. If its something that is so rare and mysterious that the best doctors in the country (which the Rockets have access to) are not sure what plagues poor Omer that he hasnt played since December 2nd well then I don't know what to say other than it sounds like its more hurt feelings and acting like a baby than anything.

If he can go through practices and all there is no reason why he cant just go out there and play 10 minutes like that either. All the players have been mysteriously quiet on Asik and give a standard soundbite when asked about Asik -- but they dont really say anything about Asik themselves like in the past when other guys got hurt (for ex: yeah we are playing well imagine how it will be when X comes back next week)

Omer is killing his next contract - even if he doesnt play for the Rockets again and they carry his contract for the next 1.5 seasons no team is going to want to pay a guy who pouts at not starting and having a chance to make a playoff team a potential contender.

Weird that Feigen says there is no timetable. Hasn't he been saying Feb for awhile now?

I really feel like Morey will take the best deal he has at the deadline. Hopefully there is something good left.

At the very least, use Asik to attach along with Lin and get some flexibility for this summer+an asset or two.
