He was shooting a high percentage in the beginning of the game, but lost his legs later on. It's difficult to play +40 minutes every game having to do everything b/c you're the only person on your team with any play making abilities. Lot's of spot up shooters on that team and everyone (besides bled) averages less than 2 assists per game.
He has almost the same PER as Harden. Not that it is a be all end all stat, but Dragic plays hard all the time and he is putting that team on his back.
He was awesome for the Rockets when he or Chandler Parsons got a steal and went for the dunk I always got them confused lol
I don't blame Morey. Les wanted Lin, Dalembert, and I think there were a couple more names I can't recall at the moment who were alluded to as "Les signings". The theme is a little too much of "When NBA owners go Glen Taylor".
Watched the game last night against the Pacers. He was under control, calm, took good shots, did not force the issue, and made good plays. He was absolutely murdering Hill. He was so effective that Pacers assigned Paul George, a premiere defender on him, and that didnt work out either. What a stud. The guy has also proven that he is not afraid of the playoffs and he is only going to get better. We should have kept him. Instead Rockets decided to go for the $$ with an inferior product in Lin.
To be fair, Hill has a thigh bruise. But yeah, probably couldn't keep up with Goran even if healthy, but he would at least make him take more jumpshots. That's what PG did, but they had been falling nevertheless.
Dragic is no doubt playing unbelievable basketball right now and should be recognized. I'm also a big fan of Jeff Hornacek's coaching of the Suns. Coach Nick said it in the video: just keep setting screens until you get a mismatch that they can take advantage of. So simple to hear, and the Suns really make it look good. I like the constant attack and motion that it forces. I feel that overall philosophy is pretty much what we were doing last year, but not as effectively. It really makes for fun basketball. Secure the rebound or inbound the ball and just sprint up like cheetahs Edit: Just wanted to add the PHX shot chart for the Pacers game and point out the decent fraction of long 2's that they attempted. But they can accept that with the Morris brothers, and Frye on the roster who pretty specialize in those long 2s or are decent long 2 shooters. Compare that with the Rockets v Kings shot distribution, and we took just 7 out of 90 field goal attempts. Spoiler PHX vs Pacers Spoiler HOU vs Kings
I guess Hornacek thinks an open 2 is better than a contested 3. Morey probably disagrees, but the results are clear. If Harden would play more catch and shoot, we'd be far better off.
Dragic is looking great only because he's in a point guard haven/system with that coach, who gives him the green light. Lin would probably have the same numbers there too but he shares point guard position with Harden and Beverley.
So who is your favorite? Von Wafer, Brooks, Dragic or Dmo? Langhi? Am I missing someone? correct me there
