It's a lot of little things for me but I'll try to explain a few things.

Firstly I think the tracks in Forza feel more varied and very different from one another. GT I feel has modelled their tracks very close to real life tracks where as Forza track designers seem to have had a little more freedom. That's how they feel to me anyway.

GT has about a thousand cars but so many of them are ones I just don't care about. There are also cars that are so close to one another in GT that you wonder why they bothered throwing those variations in.

GT aims for realism for better or worse. Forza in a way adds just a tiny bit of arcade to the mix that just makes it a little more fun.

At one point I got all the GT games, enjoyed them, played the hell out of them. I didn't even think of Forza. Then I got Forza for free one day and found I really enjoyed it.

They are oth great games and you can't go wrong with either one. If I had to choose though I'd get Forza just because I think it's more fun to play.

360 does not have good and varied exclusives by rating or sale. It's completely dishonest to pretend otherwise.

I don't deny Halo and Gears are quality games. I still hope I can play Halo 3 and onward on the PC one day, but I guarantee you can't come up with any decent list of 360 games besides these two shooter franchises and Forza.

If someone doesn't like shooter, there was zero reason to get the 360. You'd have to really HATE video games to not like PS3's offerings.

Maybe someone else can post a list for you. I honestly am not all that bothered to do it.

I do not believe any xbox one owners will be bothered by 720p or 30fps games. They will enjoy em the same way they enjoyed em on 360. And i can assue you Titanfall sequel WILL reach 720p.

Haha. XB1 will have most games at 1080p, 60fps. LOL. Nice try at bad humor. TitanFall....pS4 owners will keep trying to talk down this game as they have every Xbox console exclusive they don't have access to. The Titanfall Alpha was just fine.......

    Let's see.

    Saint's Row (the first one)
    Project Gotham Racing
Kinect games (Say what you want, but there are some quality Kinect games for casual gaming)
    Fable
    DOA
    Lost Odyssey

I'd say all the other good exclusives are available on PC (which plenty of gamers don't invest properly in) or are FPS.

I don't disagree, that if you own a 360, you probably did so to play Halo, or because it was cheaper. I was never into FPS before I bought my 360.

I'd actually go with Nintendo for exclusives, who do most things well, with the exception of overly violent or FPS games.

That's exactly my point. I do not believe any xbox one owners will be bothered by 720p or 30fps games. They will enjoy em the same way they enjoyed em on 360.

As for Titanflal yes I was bothered by 6 on 6 with AIs and the fact that I was never going to buy a online only game from EA since they love to shut down servers quickly. BUT graphics wise I do not have any problem and was not trying to "talk down this game". Hell it is above and beyond 1080p/60fps on PC is it not?

not a blind PS4 fanboy or a xbox hater but don't you think it's a bit concerning that all these games on XB1 cant run @ 1080p or at 60FPS which should be considered standard on a next gen system.

Yes, yes, i know it's early and developers are getting their hands on things but both the PS4/XB1 should be easy to develop for and developers have had enough times on dev kits. It's just odd that tomb raider like you said is a old game made for last gen systems. So the XB1 cant run a game designed for last generation at 60FPS? That's definitely not a good sign. Imagine when developers start pushing the graphics and effects.

Either way both are good systems and both will have great games but to me it's a bit odd how XB1 is struggling to run games designed for last gen at higher resolutions/framerates.

Forza Motorsport 5 can and does run at 1080p at 60fps. It can be done. Developers have been cutting corners on multi-console ports for decades - this isn't news.

Launch games and Tomb Raider are special cases (since they tend to be cross-platform and/or don't push the systems too hard), but I wouldn't expect developers to target 60 FPS in the majority of games. Not to say these machines can't do 1080p @ 60 FPS, but the devs would likely prefer to just push more effects (or complete development a few months early), rather than support 60 FPS. That's just part of game development these days, and not really a technical issue.

Though with the power of the cloud and all, I guess 1080p and 60 FPS could be the minimum expectations to have. Though really, with the cloud, 2160p and 120 FPS should be quite common.

To illustrate his point though, I'm not sure how relevant this is. Ridge Racer 7 is 1080p and 60 FPS IIRC, but the PS3 definitely has problems hitting those marks in games (it shouldn't be expected from the platform). It generally comes at the cost of certain graphical effects. Part of the usual give-and-take of development (same as Forza and some of its "staticness"). Some platforms require different amounts of give-and-take than others (and this can sometimes be visible with multiplatform titles).

Though I will admit, Tomb Raider probably should be doable at 1080p @ 60 FPS. IIRC, the hair effects rely heavily on compute, which could be holding up the XBO version. Just speculation on my part though.

    Haha, true.

But PC version is still superior. Can get it to run at 480p (or lower). :)

edit: Well...guess you can always force 480p on all the versions....everyone wins! Bigger boobs for all!

The reason these game can't do 1080p, 60fps is they were or are being rushed out or are on tight development schedule. The XB1 hardware was not finalized until August 2013. The development tools are still are a work in progress. MS will make a big advance in the XB1 software in the first 6 months of this year. IF TitanFall were delayed 6 months, then it would probably hit 1080p, 60fps. By the end of the year, this whole argument wont be an issue.

I'll be honest, I generally play my PC games at 720p anyway. Most of the time I can't tell the difference... and in FPSs or games with fast reaction times, 720p means less mouse travel anyway. Of course sometimes there are field of view losses.
