Everybody near my cubicles getting really sick. The person behind me is sick and been coughing and I am getting occasion coughing . Solutions?
If it's that thing that's been going around that has everyone coughing up a storm and missing a day or two or work you're pretty much screwed. It's already inside you. Whatever that is spreads quick.
There is probably not much you can do about now that you have been exposed, but I use Airborne sometimes and it works great. It doesn't hurt to try it. Everyone's immune system is different.
Sometimes I'll buy a box of E-MergenC and take it daily if I feel the need. Travel... Hungover... Friends are sick... Not getting a lot of sleep... Usually delivers for me.
I've taken Airborne daily for two years and I haven't gotten one bad cold since. I used to get two or three a year. This past Friday I thought I was coming down with the crap everyone in the office were going through so I started downing Zicam and spraying Zinc oral spray in my mouth every three hours. I never did get sick, not sure if it was the medicine but I personally can vouch for Airborne, but it might be too late in your situation bruh. You gotta be on it beforehand.
This! This! This! Don't rub your eyes, wipe your nose (with your hands) or put your hands in your mouth for any reason (like chewing fingernails, etc). Wash hands regularly, especially before you eat and after shaking someone else's hand.
Spray Lysol everywhere, on your keyboard and even on your phone. Spray it so much it starts pissing them off. I do this every time people decide to come into work sick. CALL IN SICK assholes. I don't want your mess. Oh, and yeah wash the hands and keep them gelled with Hand Sanitizer. Also do some cocaine and bust a nut in a ho.
I try not to come in when I'm hacking my dick up but what has been going around lately sticks with people for days. Weeks even. Whether they come in sick or after they think it's gone - they're bringing in the same germs.
I don't think I have ever seen a credible study show that anything like Airborne or vitamin C help in any way with colds and the like. Most say there is no evidence and that the placebo effect is way stronger due to us being raised with the "common wisdom" that originally came out of 1950's pseudo science. But, hey, the industry is making a killing off of the stuff.
I don't take them to fend off a cold, I take them to help boost my immune system so that I do not get sick. Honestly, I have not had a bad cold in over two years while taking it and I would usually always get sick usually at least 3 times a year. I seriously doubt it's a placebo effect since my body wasn't always ready. I'm also a slight hypochondriac, and that's all I have to say about that.
But I mean that I have read about studies where ther have been literal placebo pills/whatever and when they told people they were the real thing the prevention and recovery stats were reported as indistinguishable from those of people who were taking the real stuff.
I usually drop vitamin C packs into a couple bottles of water at work, and then do Neti Pot once or twice a day when I feel like I'm coming down with something. That seems to kill off whatever is trying to get me pretty quickly.
and this Rimbaud thinks it's a placebo because there's no studies to support that. Drug companies are really winning the campaign that vitamins don't help.
I don't think it'll work in your case. I tried Airborne a couple times after the onset of the cold, and it didn't feel like it helped compare to other colds i've had. You're pretty much screw until your immune system makes antibodies to combat it.
For vitamin C I prefer to get it in foods rich in it (ex. citrus). I do take ColdEze (sp?) for colds and I have found that it works most of the time in reducing the cold length compared to if I don't take it at the same time.
