The Western teams may kill each other off before any of them face the Eastern Champion. The talent in the West is ridiculous. Nice that the Rockets are in the mix. Any team that makes the playoffs in the West can potentially beat any other. OKC looks like the toughest "out" but even that is not a sure thing.

Best HOU stat in the standings is

    L10
    8-2

Rockets have been 5-5, 6-4 far too often this season. A consistant 7-3 or 8-2 likely equals a #3 seed.

I look at the entire game and impact a player has, Bev had a much greater impact all over the floor last night.

He was a catalyst on defense, a distributor on offense, and inspirational leader in effort.

The guy is so important to this team of likable, loveable guys....Bev is a killer, we desperately need that mentality.

Good game. Rockets did what they had to. Both Gay and Cousins were hurt early and we poured it on. A <15pt-game would've been embarrassing.

Rockets didn't shoot 3's well (25%), but we rebounded, assisted, defended, and took care of the ball. Dwight was horrible at the line, but good game still.

His defense overall has been way better after his feet and ankles healed. He will still ocassionally get roasted but not enough for concern.

    How long has this been?

Harden did have a very good effort last night though. He hasn't had that effort in a long while.

I will take Parsons over Batum and Iggy.... I don't think that Parsons makes the all star team but what Harden said isn't crazy.

I totally agree. Parsons is a very, very good player. He's not really flashy in any specific category, but the total package is really impressive. Chandler has also something that very few players have, which is leadership.

Kinda chuckling at the dismissal of Beverly's block because Cousins rolled his ankle. It was still a great play becuase it shows Bev wasn't going to concede anything even to the other team's center. That's contagious and something that you can't measure by a box score or any advanced analytics...

Also, simply going by the box score saying Bev had a poor game doesn't make sense. He was 2/8 which is 25%. Certainly below par even for Beverly but don't try to make it out like he had 25% shooting on 20 shots....

And then dismissing tenacity citing KG(who does have a chip)...

    Funny stuff!

I will add that the 2nd unit has looked a bit better. Hopefully DMo translates this to good minutes when Jones returns...

    And the look...

Parsons in the ASG will definitely attract more female followers, and some male ones like Carl...

Yea...I'm not taking away anything from this game. The Kings were nothing after Gay and Cousins went down.

My point was that this was a game we HAD to win. It was bad enough we lost to the Kings before, to lose to them with Gay Cousins out is simply unacceptable. Don't get your panties twisted.
