I really liked what I saw. The team is getting ready for the playoffs and showing signs of great ball movement and multitude of options to get the work done. To me all the arguments about who is starting and who has this and that stat line is irrelevant. All I want to see is that the guys play team ball and appear to have great time on the floor. The results show immediately. To me the greatest look in these games is always seeing Dwight having good time encouraging the team from the sideline. Dwight is the man and when he enjoys what he's seeing, things are on the right track.
Well said - Dwight has become my favorite player to watch on this team because he brings a great spirit and joy to the game and is encouraging to all his teammates- especially when he's beasting like tonight. Eat it Shaq.
Conveniently left out the 6 pts on 2-7 or 2-8 shooting in about 28-30 miNutes of play. If lin had a game like that most of this site would be crapping on him. Beverley is overrated. It's a joke to see people fawning over a mediocre at best talent just because he has a little swagger.
Bev does so many things that Lin doesn't do outside of scoring. If Lin shot 2-7 and got flamed, it's probably because he had crucial turnovers, didn't rack up that many assists, and didn't play with the intensity that Beverly plays with.
Bottom line - I think they're both awesome and bring different strengths. They seem to really like each other too. I would love to see Lin get a little angry out there and play with a chip on his shoulder again. I don't actually care about the stare down thing - in fact, he got a tech for it, so not that productive.
I agree, its only bad when you are down by a few points, but if you are up by a lot or down by a lot it is good. sends a message to the other team that you are not a p$##$y. will benefit you on the next encounter and playoffs...
c'mon people - we're acting like that block was epic. It was a decent timing block that's all. Not a game changer, except that he injured Cousins. If anything, people are going to start looking for payback on Bev.
The tech Beverly got should not have been a tech. However, officials this season call those stare downs tech's way to often for Beverly not to know it would get called. However, if I got up to block Cousins' shot I would do the same thing lol. Unlike you we watch the games, not the box score. Unlike you I've played the game and now the box score doesn't represent what happens in the game. You don't need to have played or coached at the NBA level to understand the simple concept that players can win games without those things being represented in the box score. Also Lin did have average games when he first came back from injury and everyone took that into account when discussing Lin. Beverly didn't shot well, yet his injury was a broken ****ing hand. Since you want to talk stats, all the advance stats show the starting line-up does better offensively and defensively with Beverly starting. The +/- from Beverly since his return have been through the roof (+26 and +31) and guess what, more than 25 assists overall for the team in those 2 games. He had 8 assists of his own, 6 rebounds, with 2 steals and a block. It is obvious to anybody with a brain who watches the games, the difference between the team with Beverly to the team without Beverly. The team scored 119 points and you are using Beverly scoring stats to show he had a bad game. We don't need Beverly to score, **** for brains.
Got the 4 other starters going. Really energizing seeing the smallest guy you're on the floor with pull of those kind if things.
Just watched it again, yeah it wasn't his fault, but I agree that the stare down thing in that context was kinda funny - Maybe he should adopt the Mutumbo finger
