When Mchale plays DMO its not Mchale's fault that DMOs minutes are not as high as he wants them.... DMO fouls way too much... he needs to stop reaching all the time and just move his feet... he could avg 20 min a game if he learned to not pick up 3 fouls in one quarter everytime

I made these but I was scared of making a new thread because we will have a war( and GARM doesn't need so many threads about beverley vs Lin) so i decided to post it here.

This stat helps determine who your best 5 man combo is... like for example, in the beginning of the season when Mchale started both Omer and Dwight, they were a combined -33 when on the floor together... Mchale and the staff saw that and immediately went to a different starting rotation... it also helps with coming up with your best bench combo... you can see who plays well with who and who doesnt... its probably one of the more underrated stats in the league

on any team, in any sport, the coaches are going to have their favorites, be it personality, similarities, etc...

from the way that mchale talks about bev from early on in the season, he was sold on the guy since his first day of practice after coming in from russia.

and that's fine. as a coach, he has the right to decide how he wants to construct his team and how he wants to play his players. this is a good growing process for lin and it's up to him to say you know what, screw it. i can't do anything to change how he plays me or how many minute i get, so i'm just gonna play hard, and play my style of bball with the minutes that i have, and if i end up with none, so be it. he was playing this way early on in the season but after bev went down, i think he wanted to prove to the coaches and his team that he deserves to have the starting position back, and strayed away from that mindset he had early on in the season.

as a maturation process, he needs to not depend on his coaches to gain his confidence, even though every coach he has had success with has shown a tremendous amount of confidence in him. the way he talks about dantoni was pretty obvious what he looks for in a coach but in life, we're not always going to like who we work for, but that's what free agency is for. and until he starts to play with a confidence that found in himself and not in his coaches, he will not reach his ceiling.

I think he'll get there with more playing time, once he can really start taking notice of the kinds of things they're calling consistently. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how long it took him to pick up all of those fouls last night (relatively speaking).

Last night, he definitely made a better effort to try to move his feet and not swipe his arm down.... Im sure the staff (especially Sampson) will be on him about how to not pick up fouls and learn to stay on the floor. He would have played well over 30 min last night if it wasnt for the foul trouble (finished with 21 min)

Therefore Lin needs to shoot the ball himself. Looks like he's afraid and lost sometimes out there. "timidsanity". Hope he gets his confidence back.

Beverley should be in the "rising star challenge " at the nba all-stars.

It's not gonna matter if we catch the Clips. They are winning their division and getting a top four seed. We need to catch either Portland or OKC to get into the top 4.

Clips will get the top 4 seed title but if the Rockets have a better record (as the 5th seed), Rockets will get homecourt if we play them, so it is important to catch them.

I have always said DMo deserves some playing time to develop, just as much as TJ deserves. TJ is going to be a great pf in a few years. DMo is going to be at least an effective backup for both the 4 & 5 positions with height and now muscle to back it up. If he improves on his defense and offense, he deserves much higher PT than is now, otherwise we will lose him if he sees no future here.

Assuming Asik not coming back, that is the best combination we've got. Smith will be a bonus back up of the trio if one is injured.

Man where would we be without Chandler freaking Parsons.

That guy is just an amazing payer.

Chandler is the glue guy for the entire team, in my humble opinion. Beverley, in my opinion, is the glue guy for our defense. Jeremy, I hope, will become the glue guy for the Bench Mob, a crucial role, one played by several Hall of Fame players, including Kevin McHale. Glue guys make everything click. They are essential. I'm hoping that who I see as our 3 "glue guys" manage to stay healthy, along with the rest of the team. Healthy and getting Dwight the ball in the post. He's really coming on now, and it's exciting. Houston fans know about big men and their impact, and while it's been a while, we have an impact big man now, and in spades. We need to go on a run. We're overdue. Way overdue. It may take getting over the uncertainty of the deadline, I hope not, but we need to settle on a rotation and gear up for the playoffs. It's never too early.

Awesome. Great highlights. Much better than that blaiyan (?) guy. No time wasted on the Free Throws like in the lin highlights.

Also LOVE how he lets the entire audio call of the play continue.

    Chandler rocks.

I already said that I didn't see the game, but given the countless accolades that Bev has received in just ONE game I was expecting much more than 3 assists if he's our starting point guard.

The reality is that Bev doesn't pass the ball but passes off the ball because he is not a playmaker. Our offense is too wild and inconsistent to thrive during the playoffs if we keep playing musical chairs on point guard roles.

So, like I said, let's see if this will really work because I don't think it will.

Wow...you're going to use 2 of the most replaceable players on their teams as an example??? I thought us Lin fans were the ones to reach for stats...
And that darn Jeremy...why does he keep making his teammates miss open shots....BAD Jeremy....BADDDD!!!
