Worst of all, I heard they wouldn't even let Paul McCartney (how did he get an invite to this thing!?!?!) play bass!!
Why are those lazy servants behind her standing around and doing nothing? I mean, there are at least 6 white people in that photo out of the 8 total (can't tell race of woman in green blouse). Unbelievable.
I'd like to think in 2013, past all the PC bull**** and faces we wear to work, there's an honesty to a persons words and acceptance in their soul. Regardless of color race or sexual orientation. It's not in these pics , the taxpayers are not paying for anti white bigotry so Michele can have a good time. All I look for is a front of equality to show the kids. This is a slap in the face that creates racial lines and promotes the idea of only playing with friends of your own race. I don't care if she is doing the Harlem shake inside or fox-trotting to bethoven , the other 87% of the nation can party too.
This is a sponsored photo op , not the official party at her house. It's obvious, what's going on here.
The blatant racism in this thread- I mean, you guys aren't even subtle about it- is sad. I won't even repeat the statement that no one says a word when a white President has 98%... oh, what's the point? Very sad, gentlemen- you're better than that.
The fear is that if Obama caters only to blacks and only has blacks in key government positions, then we are effectively a black-ruled country and a black-preference country. Now, I personally don't believe that to be the case, given the legislative branch and the judicial branch of government, balancing out the power of the executive. You also have the power vested in states and local governments, which balances out executive power. When Obama tries to rule by executive order, it subverts this balance of power, but let's not get into that at the moment. The fear of being black-ruled is perhaps legitimate, since there are few if any successful black-ruled countries, or even successful black-ruled domestic municipalities. There's just a really bad track record there -- sorry, but that's objective.
You should be ashamed of yourself The festivities will be modest compared to those celebrated in the White House by the relatively few First Ladies who celebrated their birthdays during the time their husbands were president. Based on the scant documentation chronicling birthday celebrations of previous First Ladies in the White House, Mrs. Obama’s will be unusual in that it will not provide dinner. Also differentiating it is the fact that it will not be “official” or in any way public, but rather considered a private event. An important distinction about Michelle Obama’s 50th birthday party is the fact that it is not being used to raise money for any organization. http://carlanthonyonline.com/2014/0...when-first-families-party-at-the-white-house/
Ummm, 87% of the population is not black. So when a small percentage wants to act elitist people will notice. I'm preaching equality not racism but many here are too soft to see when ppl act with a chip on their shoulder despite being so successful in a 'white world', which I don't believe in. Beyonce, Michele, jayz, Oprah etc. "Among the other stars spotted in the crowd were Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Janelle Monae, Mary J. Blige, Angela Bassett, Courtney Vance, Herbie Hancock, Samuel L. Jackson, Grant Hill, Alonzo Mourning, Ledisi, Emmett Smith, Star Jones, Al Roker, Steve Harvey, Magic Johnson, Billie Jean King and Michael Jordan. That's as bad as saying Woody Allen is racist b/c most of the people in his movies are white, and Spike Lee is racist b/c most of the people in his movies are black. Those are their friends, their colleagues, and if 95% of the Obamas' friends are black, it's perfectly understandable and quite frankly, none of your business who they invite to the White House. So, for the love of God, would you racists please stop with your Fear-of-a-Black-Planet, Soul Train, and other racist comments. You are severely bringing down the intelligence on this board. Thank you.
It's fascinating how Obama's Presidency has given rise to a type of white militancy you haven't seen since the 50's.
