So Bev guarded Lillard every minute of the game? Dat Logic Bev played 4 WHOLE minutes more than Lin. Wah Wah Wah Bev = +26 Lin = - 7 Should answer OP's question
Yep...simple as that. Would you expect Parsons, Lin, TJones or Howard to come off the bench after an injury?
Playoffs it will matter. We won cuz we got bev back. I think bev was a decently impactful player to our team obviously. He adds more scoring which we were not getting cuz out bench is straight up garbage
Beverly has started two games against Lillard this season.... he has averaged 30% FG 16 PTS 3 TO 5 AST 1 REB So yeah..... I would say that is pretty impressive. Still, with the Rockets looking at individual PG v. PG match ups are useless, because the Rockets switch CONSTANTLY so half the time Harden or Parsons or Jones is on Lillard anyways.
Not to be negative, but this sounds like an never ending excuse. Bev played well because he's having a good season and improved. Lin is not having a good season and has been inconsistent. Who they play with has nothing to do with hittin or missing shots
Why don't you check the post game interviews and see how Dwight and James felt about bevs play. I guess they don't like lin either
After surgery yeah. N bev isn't parsons or howard I would say yes to Terrance. If a player was injured with a sprain or strain then no they Wud come back to start. Bev been out for a while. N Lin n him still played the same minutes so you can't really say bev better at starting. N you can't really say lin plays better with the bench because what bench is everyone taking about? We have no bench casspi?. If Lin comes off the bench the starters are basically still in the game.
"McHale not liking Lin?" Jeremy not starting when the starting point returned to the lineup was "disrespectful?" You think McHale "jack(s) with (Lin's) confidence?" Seriously? You think this after we beat one of the best teams in the league, a team on a 5 game winning streak that had just defeated San Antonio at San Antonio, and Dallas at Dallas? Really? With all due respect, you are one of the problems we have in the GARM. Members searching for a negative after a great win because their favorite player was "not liked," was "disrespected," and had his "confidence jacked with." You actually think that way? No kidding? Either you didn't watch the game, regardless of what you said here, or know nothing about basketball and could care less about the Rockets if it weren't for one thing... Jeremy Lin playing on the team. Have you considered therapy? You should, with all due respect. Last night was a great win, something to be celebrated, and here you are stretching the limits of believability with a lot of nonsense that in your mind deserves its own thread, despite there being endless similarly stupid threads cluttering up the GARM, not to mention similar sentiments derailing the game threads on a regular basis. Perhaps you would find what you desire, personal validation for you opinion, at another BBS. Do us a favor and look for one. Thanks in advance. And no, I'm not mocking you. I'm very serious. It would be good for your mental health, in my humble opinion.
Btw Lmao @ it being more "balanced with lin". So 3 players that put up 77 points on 57% shooting isn't balanced?
Thing is I didn't even say bev played bad?. Bev is a good player and they all know this. Having a player who was part of your offense just disappear hurts so they realize his contributions to the team considering there bench is non exsistant nearly.
Lin isn't my favorite player and I've never made a Lin thread before this. I think you have the problem sir obvious anger issues. In basing my opinion on a rockets fan forum which means nothing to the teams success and your saying I should seek mental health now please tell me who has the problem?.
I disagree, I think Lin is capable of having 30 point games, not so sure that's true with Bev unless he is getting open shots from doubles on our stars. Lin is more creative but he is also more risky and sometimes coaches don't like that. It is a perfect fit, we need Lin's energy when he comes off the bench. Aside from last night I think he shoots better in that role.
Why? Because the Rockets are a much better team with Bev starting and Lin on the bench. It really is very simple.
Beverley is simply a better fit for this team it really is as simple as that. No need to develop Lin's "Confidence" because we all know he wont be here in the long run with that contract.
I'm not the least bit angry with you. I was very serious. Such negativity can be harmful to your health, and certainly take away from the enjoyment of what was a great team win.
Oh, its you. As for the first part of that post, I call shens. Deckard is right....you are not. If this thread is specific to last night's game, it belongs in the game thread...if it is a continuation of the Bev vs Lin starting thing, then there are already plenty of threads you can find to post in. TLDR, this thread needs to be closed.
