Expected. That's why I've been most of mine so I could cover the cost.

That would definitely help the TC get fuller and louder.

Yeah stadium is already half full. I guess someone is buying those tickets. I was at the game last night and I could see large patches of red especially in the lower deck and some in the upper deck too.

been a STH since 06-07, this season was the first year it went up, was expecting it....

fwiw, the price between a STH and individual game tickets is a drastic difference at almost double, unlike before where it was $2-3 per game

Yep. They're one of five teams in the league that has sold OVER capacity for the season.

The problem isnt selling out - the problem is all the corporate dooshbags that dont go to the games and dont give away thier tickets. Thats why TC always looks bad on national TV

Why does it seem like the Rockets are the only team that has trouble with corporate douchebags?

wow didn't know corporate was that big of an issue. the seats look so empty sometimes. They should implement a rule that if corporate seats aren't checked in the door by 15 mins after scheduled game time, then those tickets are released and sold to the public.

the team hasnt been good lately with national buzz -- despite having a good record - they arent still considered to be a contender the way the clippers, spurs and thunder are.

come playoff time all those seats will be filled - if the team has playoff success then next season it will also be better.

Right now the team is still trying to shake off that image - yeah Howard and Harden are here but they need to win something for the casual fan to want to go.

Those corp seats its unfortunate - the team does care about having fans in the seats but they'll sell to anyone for the sake of selling.

What I believe is more likely the case is that a company may put up its tickets for sale to recoup some of the loses but puts it at a price which most people would not want to pay so they go unsold and empty. If I had a 100 dollar seat and I try to sell it for 175 I may not get any buyers - if I sell it at 50 - sure I will but I am taking a loss and at the same time devaluing my own seats. I am sure the Rockets would rather have companys not sell their tickets over constantly selling them at or below face value just to recover a bit of a sunk cost since it would lower the value of the Rockets itself.

The team will always have its die-hard fans - but the casual fans are what will drive it -- I mean the heat didnt really sell out their games either

but with basketball being the only professional sport left right now in houston- there maybe a small hike in actual attendance from here on out.

Those Corporate douche bags are the reason we can afford 2 or 3 Superstars on this team. They pay 70% of the bills.

Let me know when you can afford to pay $10,000 a year for Season tickets.

Just say no to flashseats. As matter of fact, they need to make flashseats only doors and ticket only doors. The flashseat process is what holds up the line EVERY night.

Or a much easier way would to just have two separate lines. Flash seats are awesome.

The Rockets are barely over the cap. This team's salary is not really higher than that of the past few seasons' teams. That's kind of the deal with the NBA's salary cap and max contract, though-- teams without superstars don't really pay much less in total salaries than some teams that do.

But yes, it helps for the team to have good income from ticket sales, especially when their TV situation has been stalled.

You guys went up on our season tickets, didn’t offer any incentives like last year or the previous years for renewing when we got the harden jersey & didn’t allow us to buy extra playoff tickets at the discount rate like the previous years. A howard jersey would’ve been nice this year !! Why did yall get cheap ???

All because you got cocky for having 2 stars, “we got harden & now howard now let me go up on prices” if rockets don’t make it out the first round I think we didn’t deserve to have our prices increase. We should pay the same as last year and not go up like the Texans did. “will you guys do this” ?????
You guys even went as far as sending out an email day after we lost game A saying Game C playoff tickets are for sale ?!?! WHY ??? Because it seems like all you guys care about is making more money and not doing anything for loyal season ticket holders. Fans were upset the day after, they didn’t want to see you guys marketing and trying to make more money off us. I’m disappointed

I paid $3950 this year and you guys went up to $4350 this year, that BS !! I will still be loyal and don’t want a refund, it’s just low how you guys aren’t showing any appreciation and just so quick to go up and give less when the team is not producing.
