My cat knocked my PS4 off my shelf and broke it. I had the system for 2 weeks. Am I screwed?

    Is there anyway Sony can refund my money or ship me out a new system? I'll be pissed if $500 went down the pipe because of my ******* cat.

    Warranty does not cover against accidents.

    If he bought "accidental coverage" then it is covered. For example, you can upgrade your squaretrade warranty to cover against accidents.

    I take that the OP has standard manufacturer's warranty assuming he bought the PS4 from authorized re-seller and has a dated invoice. In that case, it is only covered for 1 year against any manufacturing defects, and not accidents.

    TLDR version: Donate the cat to a Chinese takeout restaurant.

    my cat broke multiple Xbox 360's... they got refunded every time, but they were not smashed and I didn't tell them my cat did it.

    What did you tell them happened? I mean the thing isn't smashed into pieces but it has noticeable damage. I wonder if I can repair it and claim hardware issues.

    The PS4 had a software error which lead to a mini-nova, completely damaging the console case and hardware. Then tell em to contact Sony for a letter of apology and a free PS4.

    That would be my guess too, I lay mine down because I find consoles handle the discs better as opposed to being upright.

    Try and trade it for an Xbox 1. Then return the 2 for a ps4.

    Hopefully you bought it at walmart.
