Good luck with that. Both of these teams are overrated. We will likely see a repeat of the Miami/San Antonio matchup from last year. Portland will fall to 3rd seed and lose to the Rockets in the first round. Indiana will lose to the Heat again in the ECF.

When was the last time a team with a below average defense won the championship?

#1 offense + #20 defense = 60 wins followed by a 1st or 2nd round exit.

Pacers and Blazers have both been INCREDIBLY lucky, injury-wise.

Regardless of whether they will get there, why do you guys think a Pacers-Blazers finals will suck? You get dynamic young players in Lillard, Batum, George and Stephenson, deep and talented roster, a premiere paint matchup in Hibbert-LMA and the excitement of a brand new champion.

I think Rockets will hit all their 3's in the playoffs. Making it to the Finals.

 

They are by no means a lock. It's possible that they could beat the 2 time champs, but Miami is closer to a lock than Indiana. It's pretty clear that Miami has been mailing it in for parts of the season, and it doesn't matter because no one will catch up with them for the 2 seed.

It already started. people were high on them over the weekend because of two wins on their brutal, Texas Triangle plus OKC road trip. Lost badly last night, and now the Thunder get the good fortune of catching them on their 4th in 5 tonight in OKC (is it just me or do they get that alot?)- probably another beatdown.

 

Blazers gonna end up with a 4/5 matchup against the Rockets.

 

would you really rather see Lillard, Batum, and LMA

than Parker, Ginobli, Duncan or Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka or Paul & Griffin or even Harden, Parsons, Howard?

 

Both teams are hoping if they make it that the other is the one they meet. What does that tell you? Just like survivor, when you get to choose who you bring to the end, you don't bring someone you know will beat you.

 

The Rockets out of all of these teams that are title contenders are the only ones that can improve by the trading deadline. So, I would hold off writing in Spurs, OKC, and Blazers just yet. Let's see what IF any trade the Rockets can get done or IF no trade is done will Asik man up and play.
