Why they believe Beverley's defense was great at this game?

    Damian Lillard
    At HOU (LOSS)
    FG 7/17 41.2%

    At DAL (WIN)
    FG 3/8 37.5%

    At SAS (WIN)
    FG 6/16 37.5%

The Team won b/c their 3PT% is 48.5%

There is really no need to hate on Beverley.

know it's really late of me to say this at such a moment but YEA WE WON!:grin::grin:

Like what they said in BR....offence meets offence and we were stronger on the offensive end.

    YEA:cool:

I didn't think Bev would be in the starting lineup so fast. But I'm not surprised either.

The Unsung Hero tonight, D-Mo really stepped up as a starter when T. Jones was out, and filled in for Howard who got into foul trouble in the 3rd quarter.

Great win tonight. Couldn't watch the game, but anytime a team can blow the socks off a hot team like the Blazers, it is a damn great win.

BTW, the way DMO has performed tonight, any bets that Jones will be more than eager to comeback early from his injury for Wednesday's game?

Gotta give D-Mo credit..he did a lot of the little things to fend off the Blazers. Hope he keeps it up.

That be unfair to the league.

It's ok. Portland has the best offense. We are average defensive team or below that.

Defensive efficiency maybe but that has alot to do with Howard.
Howard is the only elite defender. The next guy who comes close is the average Terrance Jones. Others are below average at best.
Howard alone does make up alot of ground.

The same as last year without Jones. We were one of the worst defensive teams last year. Period.

Furthermore Bev does play appropriately ok defense but I think his intensity drops after playing extended minutes. At least on one end.

Good win over a good team.

Would have been even nicer if Parsons and Harden didnt have to play like over 42 and 41 minutes each.

    Well done, guys!!!

The last two wins have been impressive.

One in expected fashion, was a blowout... which with the constant "playing down to the competition" trend that this team has been treading this season, is very impressive to me.

The win today was impressive due to the fact that we beat a high quality opponent on national tv.

Quick tidbit before I get to my main point, concerning the west, we seem to match up very well against certain teams. 2-0 vs Golden State, 2-1 vs Portland, 2-0 vs San Antonio & 2-0 vs Memphis. However, we're 0-2 vs LAC, 1-2 vs Dallas, 0-2 vs OKC & 0-2 vs Sacramento. For the life of me I can't find a steady trend in those records...

Anyway, not going to get my hopes up or anything... Remember what happened after our first win in San Antonio? Two lazy efforts in Utah & vs Phoenix.

I know this team can beat tough teams, what I don't know yet is whether or not they can show up on a nightly basis versus any team.

Yeah, the losses to Dallas have been more than exasperating. I mean, those dudes are older than fossilized dinosaur dung. That (the losses to lesser teams ) have to stop ASAP. The Rockets are in excellent position to get an eventual higher seed if they could string a number of victiories. I would like to see 10 wins in a row for a change.
