If Lin is as bad as some believe, nobody will pay him next year for 15 million, not to mention get back an all-star PG in Rondo. Even if you add Asik, whose market value is also at all time low. The poison pills are ours, exclusively.

If Lin is good enough for a tanking Celtics team to take on his next year contract plus Asik and give us back a Rondo, we don't have the urge to trade him.

It's just like job market. The easiest time for you to find a job is when you have a job.

He and Ainge will always talk. Not really a fit for Boston's needs. RT @alexstokes25: @Jonathan_Feigen do you think Morey will pursue Rondo?

^^^^feigen tonight after the game, interesting

----good first game back from bev tonight! If he can keep that up of morey trades Lin & asik, a center and 3 & d guy maybe more needed sense brooks can back up bev, but if Ainge throws rondo out there to us that sure is tempting ! maybe he can give us humpries expiring also.

Nah, I just think journalists just want people to read what they write.

I have mentioned in another thread that when Rondo recently came back he was introduced as the Captain of the Celts. And it is a very rare situation for a cap to be traded away.

Secondly, we only have little data as to how Rondo's injury have affected his play (it's only a few games worth since his return).

If this happens though, it's going to be a blockbuster trade.

They would need to get multiple picks in the deal somehow.

Not sure if we really need Rondo but it'd be nice to have him. If we move both Asik and Lin, Brooks can step into the 6th man off the bench. Maybe we can build up D.Mo's value and send him along with Asik/Lin and still retain our 1st rounder.

With Beverley back, Harden's defensive deficiencies aren't as obvious and hopefully Lin can find his hot shooting touch off the bench again.

If Boston wants picks for the draft, Morey's the guy to get it done.

    Absolutely not.

Rondo is a headcase. Just about all the highlights I've seen were of him fighting and making cheap shots.

Rondo can go to hell. Hate that guy and he's a terrible fit. And he would cost way too much to acquire. NO. THANKS!

after last night Im thinking a big PF that can pick & pop and has a post up game that we can go to when the game slows down in the 4th is what we need to get to the championship and should be on moreys radar.

i love rondo's playmaking and D...my greatest fear is how will he hit the open three's he would get...look at the 3's taken by Bev on the blazers game..

So, when does Beverley pass Rondo on the career made three point list? My guess is Wednesday. On the career three point attempt list, it will probably take Beverley sometime next season.

I'm still sticking to my guns and think we can win a championship with Bev as the starting PG. Point guards don't rule championships, wing players do.

I know I'm crazy to think this haha

We need an all star PF. Keep jones at back up PF. Get a solid SG/SF sixth man with decent D and high productivity offensively. Acquire a few more solid role players offseason preferably shooters. The. Acquire just a mediocre center who can let dwight rest for just a momment. There are no realistic good point guards we could trade for. Idk if rondo is what we need either but I would consider it

With Rondo, we are a more flexible team than with Lin and Asik.
But I seriously doubt Ainge will trade rondo for only Lin Asik and 1 first round pick.

doesn’t matter if we bring in rondo we still don’t have anyone to run the high p&r with him, PF should be addressed first. Most of rondos success is getting picks from kg so they can play pick and pop. BASS coming with him would be better since he can run that option. If rondo comes yes he’s a playmaker but you have to have the guys for him to make plays to. as of now he would just be throwing the ball to 3point shooters and that’s not worth bringing him in alone.

Lin is probably not going to be traded if the Rockets continues to get hot with Bev/Harden/Parson/TJones/Howard as the lineup. They will try to convince Asik and Lin to be the bench players and they will be a really deep team going for Championship.

If Bev continues to develop that chemistry, why Rondo?
