Fantastic game by Houston especially on the defensive end. Beverly played exceptional. He did a great job setting the tone defensively for the rest of the team. I think we do a little too much switching. It often leaves a forward guarding hardens man opening a mismatch for the other team. Teams will exploit this wrinkle come playoff time.

I was hoping for something more Richard Sherman-esque.

    D. Mo with a solid game, but the fouls took him out of the action. He could have really shined if he could have stayed on the court. Some of the fouls where a little iffy, but he is going through a phase that a lot of big guys go through with learning how to play defense without fouling. This seems to be a fairly consistent issue with him this year so he needs to figure out what the refs are dinging him for and fix it.

Parsons with the superstar game tonight. Nice.

My point is, they aren't 31-10 from just shooting lights out from 3 every night. yes they depend on the 3 ball, but when its not falling they can find other ways to score. We're not there yet. If the 3 isn't falling, we aren't productive unless its harden drawing fouls.

Great coaching job by Mchale having to juggle D12 and DMo's minutes, particularly considering DMo's foul trouble.

Give Lin a break. He hit a big three to quiet the run Portland had at the end of the third. He didn't have a good game, sure but he contributed and we won the game

Some people love looking at negatives and exaggerating. It's so annoying.

And IF a trade does happen, I doubt the Rockets stay at the 5 spot.

Yeah. After a huge win he walked off the court like the team lost. I can't imagine doing anything in such a humiliating fashion. Every job I ever had where I was disrespected blatantly I immediately quit. Must be stomach wrenching to have to go out there n play scrub time.

my predication is Lin's numbers will be continue going down. It was projected to be all along. Early in the season, his efficiency was high, nobody can maintain that, particularly as a guard.
I calculated and found out that the way they use Lin, even he shoots 50% FG, 40% Trey, 90% Free throw, he could only average ~15points at the end...

Reggie is an idiot, we are not a jump shooting team with a bad defense.

We are #3 in the league in points-in-the paint, and we are league average in defensive efficiency.

Every Rocket player has had bad games this season. Lin hasn't played great lately, but he hasn't played horrible.

Maybe he is just tired of playing for a dumbass coach, the same way Lowry got tired of it.

Glad to have Bev back, he had a very nice game for the first game back.

If the Rockets play hard every Night they would be really hard to beat. Imagine the Rockets playing with effort AND healthy. Bad shooting wouldn't even matter.

    would smash, 10/10

fantastic game from Beverley tonight. Didn't miss a step and his hustle is infectious.

Lin seems to be in a funk but such inconsistencies are all part of it, I'll expect him to feature more with the BevLin lineup, Portland just too big for it.

Brooks, Canaan, Brewer, Garcia, Covington should of came in.

Leaving harden, parsons on the court is ****ed up, they're already overplayed.

I think his niche is already known and it showed earlier in the season.
I believe he just needs to get back in his rhythm coming off the bench and you will likely see better games from him. Hopefully he can resume what he gave the team earlier this year.

Beverley is only "anti-Lin" in the eyes of certain fans. To others, he is a key part of the team.

Parsons played great, but so did Beverley. I have no qualms with calling either Parsons or Bev MVP of this game. Dwight was great too.

IMO Reality is that Lin will part away from the Rockets regardless how he plays (good or bad). They will trade him this year if opportunity comes by the deadline. If not, they will try off season or by the end of the first half of next season. The worse case is they will let him go after end of his contract if trade doesn't happen (or can't happen) by then. This is the way it will go for Lin with the Rockets inevitably. It has nothing to do with you being his fan or hater. He is just not a piece of the future Rockets. That's simple.
