Sure. I'll take that bet. Since he'd be under team control for 5 years, there would be no incentive in him doing any of that. In fact, all it would do is kill his value to the team. I mean there's a chance that a team would just give him an early extension like we are likely to do with Watt, but I don't think that's the same thing you are suggesting.

Also, we don't know what the Texans will look like 5 years down the line, so IMO a potential extension shouldn't play any role in deciding who to pick. It would be like saying that we shouldn't pick Bridgewater because he's going to be the next Aaron Rodgers and we can't afford a 110 million dollar contract.

I agree. Have to worry about his pass rushing skills at the next level since he's pretty much been getting by on athleticism. And I don't know if the Texans want to risk that high of a draft pick for a strictly pass rushing specialist.

Yeah, that's the problem with Barr, risk. He's all athleticism with little to no refinement or technique, he could be another Clay Matthews, he could be another Trevardo Williams. Some team will take that gamble in the first, but I doubt it'll be in the top 5 picks.

My opinion on him is that he relies too much on his speed and is too easily blocked. A TE could easily block him if he gets in front of him and gets his hands on him. If an NFL team can teach him to shed blocks and some kind of go to move that's not just him being faster than everyone then he could be scary one day.

Yes, I'm saying that he will either get his contract redone earlier or he will be a problem child.

Deal is on. I won't remember it so if you want it enforced, bookmark it. :)

Right.... You know that same colts team that won how many games 2 years ago?

Really a new coach and a new QB can do wonders for a team. Considering you are taking a team that won 12 games before its collapse.

I'm a noted proponent of taking Clowney with that 1st overall pick. He's a rare talent, and I'm sure he'll be an impact pass rusher in the NFL.

However, I'd rarely turn down a chance to make your picks during those first 2 days multiply. Swap 1st rounders, and gain an additional 2nd rounder or a Josh Gordon? Yes, please. Either Clowney, Barr, Matthews, or Mack will be there at 4.

However, St Louis simply seems like the more likely trade partner.

One more strike and Josh is out for the year. And you want to bring him down here to the Hollywood Of The South _ he won't survive.

Jordan Cameron would be nice though.

His 2 strikes are the only reason he's attainable, but yea... I'd take the chance. With Andre aging and only Hopkins with long term potential. I'll absolutely roll the dice on the leagues #1 WR.

I'm okay with trading 1st for 4th and 26th, but not if they also want our second rounder (33rd)

So you think the Browns would trade away the #1 receiver in the league to trade up and draft a QB _ and not have him a #1 receiver to throw to...? If you would trade for him then you probably wouldn't trade him away.

Bob McNair will not draft a black quarterback. That is all.

lol. Okay. If he doesn't draft TB I'm sure it's because McNair is racist. The reason why coaches and GM's love McNair is because he gives them all the control in the world to make personnel decisions. Blame the racist Rick Smith and O'Brien if they don't take Bridgewater.

As long as the qb racks of w's, it doesn't matter if he green, red, blue

Wins make money and fill seats

All racism aside, when was the last time a franchise qb that was black win a Super Bowl? Based on pure history and facts, Doug Williams was the last black qb to even win one, and he was the backup at Washington. Some owners (and gms, coaches) may have a similar philosophy when drafting a qb.

Asinine considering the ratio of white qbs to black qbs is overwhelmingly favoring white qbs. Of course more white qbs would have superbowls.

Id like to keep race out of the discussion though and be more worried about what a prospect brings to the table
