I agree. It's fun to play scout, though, leading up to the draft.

I say fleece the Browns if possible. With the #4 draft someone like Clowney, Barr, or Khalil Mack.

With a later pick in the second round, draft Garoppolo.

I'm very interested in Bridgewater, Manziel, and Garoppolo.

Very true. Fans must hope/trust the people in power know what they're doing. It's already a win that Kubiak is history.

No news here. It's too early to know who you want. Just an inkling is all you can have. And even if you have an inkling why would show your cards. That would be stupid. Any news now is just a poor attempt of chaos.

If we could get Barr with their pick and grab an extra second to trade for Mallet, I'd be game.

Good thing I'm not a gm yayaya

WR Josh Gordon will be a top 5-10 WR in the NFL for the next 10 years. If they swapped first rounders, gave a 2nd for next yr, and Josh Gordon I'd pull the trigger.

I'm in the minority probably, but I wouldn't trade down for any deal if I believe in either Bridgewater or Manziel as a franchise player.

I don't think the Texans will, not if they believe one of those players is "the savior".

Bridge, Manziel, Bortles, Clowney, one of those guys will be there at number four. The wild card is whether pick number two is traded to a QB hungry team. If so, all three QBs could be scooped up 1, 2, and 3, just like that - leaving Clowney for us at four.

Clowney is not a safe pick despite the claims that he is.

On top of that, you have a small window if you do draft Clowney and he ends up as good as people think because you not going to pay both him and Watt at "best defensive player in football" type dollars. And you better believe that if Clowney thrives he will hold out on you for every dollar.

Drafting Clowney is a 3 year ride for the Texans.

I actually love the chance at getting more first round talent with draft picks. But...

    1. Browns get Manziel
    2. Rams get Clowney
    3. Jags get Bridgewater
    4. Texans get Barr or Matthews???

The Texans need to fleece the Browns. If RG3 was able to net 1st round picks, the Browns better be prepared for the same...

LOL, a "3 year ride"? So he's going to somehow leave during the middle of his rookie contract? You do realize that rookies drafted in the first round are stuck on their team for at least 5 years under contract alone right? After that there could be a franchise tag. I don't know where you came up with 3 years.

Ha! I'm sure he makes multiple trips to the ATM and has been throughout his college football career.

3 years before he starts throwing temper tantrums, skipping camp, etc. trying to get a new deal.

Ah, so it was just a work of fiction meant to be propaganda? Gotcha. Well thank got we aren't going to draft Manziel or Bridgewater, it would only be 45 minutes into their deal before they started throwing temper tantrums, skipping camp, ext. trying to get a Joe Flacco contract. See how fan fiction isn't really productive in a serious discussion?

Why does everyone like Barr? I look at him and see project who contributes very little his first year.

Want to do a tipjar bet on the Clowney contract rework story? I'll make it regardless of what team he goes to.

$25 tipjar bet says he is either skipping camp and all that jazz OR getting a new contract before the 4th year of his deal is complete UNLESS he is a bust. Want to take it?

    Potential.

Everyone falls in love with that word. Since he never played the position before (OLB) and made some plays in college, and no one has seen him much to this point, he is chalk full of potential.

A head coaches most dreaded word out of the dictionary.
