Its kind of funny, but the OP has been in this forum long enough to know this will get a response from overzealous Lin fans. That would be called trolling, and from a veteran no less. I'm a Lin fan but I'm a Rockets fan first and I can recognize the faults of all the players as well as all of their strengths. The problem is when it comes to Lin you have certain sensitive people who not only go off if Lin is criticized but they create overly dramatic threads like this to vent frustration when Lin isn't being treated like the superstar he's not.
Makes me wonder how much normal Rox fans would like Lin if his groupies didn't flood the board with their love affair.... Sure, we'd still scream at the TV everytime he leaps with no direction and gambles on D with no recovery, but I recall being pissed that we had to cut him and let Johnny Flynn stay on the team (tho, I know why we did it). Honestly think if he were making Lowry type money and his diehards didn't post so much fluff, most of this board would want him to play more....
Actually a lot of us do. I was also pissed that we cut him and when Linsanity happened I was calling for Morey's head, lol. But I brought this up in another thread whenever a thread is created about Lin with a poll attached the results almost always end in Lins favor the exception is if it's something like Lin vs a Superstar most people are gonna pick a Superstar. It's the crazed fans that have to defend Lin for every criticism and make him out to be a superstar that bring out the crazy LOH's. Most people just love the Rockets and Jeremy is a Houston Rocket, no need to be so intensely defensive here.
LOFs may have been flooding this board the last 2 years, but this season I have seen more Lin hate posts more than LOFs posts. So now I wonder whether you guys hate Lin for his game or his fans? Cuz I am sure he is not playing that bad to warrant all this hate.
Exactly. You can see people cherry pick on every mistake that Lin made on every single game thread. Game without Lin, the game thread will be like 35 pages only and then every game with Lin played will have 200 more pages just nothing but bashing. It's like Lin cannot make a single mistake. I see the mistakes he made pretty much made by anyone in this team and people didn't say anything. Turnovers? Miss 3 pts? Airball?
most likely they hate themselves. and clowning asians on an internet message board a few times per day makes em feel a little bigger, a little more warm and fuzzy inside, if only for a those brief few moments per day…..before having to return back to their vapid unsatisfying plebian lives again
