By the way, the Celtics just lost to the Magic, it came down to a last second play that was pretty easy because Rondo had to pass because he knows he can't shoot and once he did, the Magic only had to guard 4 guys. Rondo shot 30% for the game, wisely never even attempting a 3 pointer, and scored 6 points and got 4 assists. Just the guy we need....
His second game back from an ACL tear. Rose was pretty damn bad too in his first couple regular season games. You telling me that you wouldn't trade for Rose then? This is dumb. Rondo will be back to his old self in March
Yeah Rondo wasn't as good as he was in the 2008 finals, but in the 2010 finals he was much better and that team should of pretty much won the championship if it wasn't for ref ball in the 4th quarter to bring the lakers back haha
First of all, it's not a matter of who is "better" it's a matter of who is a better fit with the team. As a pure PG, Rondo is a lot better than Lin, but since Rondo shoots like a drunk 8th grader on the B team, Lin is a much better fit for Rockets PG. When we have to deal with "Hack-A-Dwight" because he shoots FT's at 57% for his career, do we want a guard who shoots 62% from the FT line for his career? Secondly, Asik being "DEADWEIGHT" doesn't mean that you trade him away for someone who wouldn't fit with the team. You'd get more value trading him for a 2nd rounder.
2 things. 1. Rose would be a better fit than Rondo because while he's not a very good 3 point shooter, he's a hell of a lot better than Rondo and he's an 81% FT shooter. 2. No, I wouldn't trade for Rose. He's damaged goods and despite being a MUCH better fit than Rondo, he's not a good fit as a ball dominant guard.
Yes, the fact that a player happened to be on a championship winning team is all that matters......What is Brian Scalabrine doing? He's a championship winning player!!!!
You gather as much talent as you can, and ask questions later. Rondo is a bonafide badass and has proven himself at every level in the game, playoffs, finals, if he comes back healthy, and you WOULDNT trade Lin/Asik, no more words
He doesn't fit with the team....he wouldn't make the team better. His talent is irrelevant. It would be similar to when the Rockets traded for Barkley, thus ending their championship days. Barkley had talent, but it didn't fit with the team.
I'm just showing you how ridiculous your argument is. The fact that Rondo happened to be on championship teams means absolutely nothing.....just like the fact that Scalabrine being on championship teams means absolutely nothing. I really don't get why this is seemingly so hard to grasp.
If morey doesn't want rondo, look out for this, Ainge wants asik and we need a back up center, of course I would rather have asik as out backup but the question is will he give is 100% probably not. celtics in asik Houston in humpries "expiring contract" pick
I don't think Brian Scalabrine played at all in the playoffs for them their Championship year if he did he was probably garbage time and he only played 10 minutes per game in the regular season that year. I don't think someone who plays more than 30 minutes as a starter for a championship team just happens to be there. No offense, this isn't an insult just a question but are you trying to seem ignorant on purpose?? http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/BOS/2008.html
