A "3 and D" guy IS versatile, people really underrate that. This team needs THAT type of versatility more than another guy who can handle the ball and make plays.

I proposed moving Parsons over to the stretch 4 and adding signing/trading for a defender but even if we didn't keep Parsons I think we'd be significantly better with a defensive minded wing alongside Harden.

The rockets always seem to like multidimensional guys. I believe Morey mentioned this in an interview once. Guys that on any given play can be a wing or a point guard. A shooter or a post player.

I think this is why Morey would prefer LMA over Love. His ability to play both PF and Center would give us more lineups to work with. Love is strictly a PF.

It's also why I think Llull is in Morey's long term plans.

    Ideal teams for Eric Gordon:

Grizzlies, Hawks, Lakers, Suns (hmmm..., they should thank God for that one), and Bobcats.

Ideal teams for Tyreke Evans (a team that can reign him in or we can go all-bonanza to shoot):

Pacers, Spurs, Magic, Bobcats, and Grizzlies.

Both players would be optimize in a situation where neither one is your best or second-best go-to player, along with having a coach that can make them play well, in a given system.

I wouldn't mind having Gordon but his injury history is scary. To have that much money tied up for a guy who's only played more than 70 games once in his career is worrisome.

I would take either one if they were attached with a 2014 lottery pick. That is about it.

The Rockets should steer clear of both of these players, we are not in position for either one to improve.

Lin and Asik for him. A real sixth man.

Will take either one if they throw in Davis as a side dish... and maybe a pick.

To me, a scenario that makes more sense would be one involving a third team. Asik to New Orleans, Gordon to third team, something to Houston. Who wants Gordon, though, at his price?

Might as well try to get Affallo who is having a better season at nearly half the salary of Gordon.

Although Gordon is not the ideal fit for this team, i would do this if they were to throw in a 2014 lotto pick. Asik and Lin would turn their season around and possibly make them dangerous.

I think the Rockets should pass on both of these guys, no question. Both have bad contracts that would completely take us out of the Love/Aldridge sweepstakes. Plus neither would fit well next to Harden.

I'd rather have Evans & Jason Smith with the draft pick for Lin & Asik. Evans would be our point & Jason Smith would be our back up 4/5.

If we do get Tyreke, we'll have two of the best eurosteps in the league. But yeah, no. I think both Gordon and Evans have less of a conscience than Lin when it comes to scoring off the bench, but I'd rather roll with Lin.

You don't pay max money for a 6th man when your starting five is heavily flawed. And that doesn't even take his injury history, questionable compability with Harden, etc. into account.
