I'm all for going to war with HOWARD, JONES, PARSONS, HARDEN, RONDO in the playoffs. You will have 3 guys in your starting lineup that have played big mins in the NBA finals HOWARD, RONDO, HARDEN & one that has a ring RONDO.. That's no brainier, This is similar to the drexler trade in 1995 so if morey can do it he should

rondo contract is up next year so it's not like he's a free agent 5 year guy were signing. If it doesn't workout then we still can make other moves.

    Kyle Lowry is better.

if we are only comparing shooting then yes, rondo is "pathetic". But he is ages better than lin at everything else (vision, passing, steals, blocks, fast breaks, leadership)

Okay, but being a pathetic shooter is a deal breaker and I think Bev could be as good as Rondo defensively as he gets to his prime. I'm not saying that Rondo wouldn't be good for a lot of teams, just not the Rockets.

Rondo didn't seem to have a problem fitting with Pierce and Allen, not sure why it would be a problem with Parsons/Harden.

Talent trumps fit when you have a caliber of player such as Rondo.

What I mean by a deal-breaker is like talking how this one person is everything you want in a woman.....except that "she" has male genitalia. Not a "deal-breaker" for everyone, but a deal-breaker for quite a few people. Rondo's shooting is that kind of a deal breaker.

Rajon Rondo is a bad fit for the Rockets... A poor shooter, that cannot hit his free throws and has had an attitude problem?

I agree, depending on the asking price.

Rondo would be a no-brainer. I doubt we can get him for Asik/Lin and Morey will sure pull the trigger if he can. Rondo plays great defense, is a smart player with a high IQ both defensively and offensively, and has championship experience and been in the finals multiple times.

The free throw shooting would be a huge concern. Jones and Howard are bad, Parsons is average but shaky at times, and Rondo is below average. Harden and sometimes Parsons would be the only reliable FT shooters in close games. D-Mo and Casspi aren't very reliable.

it doesnt even matter if Shaq and Michael Jordan were in the team, McFail would still give the ball to Harden for an iso. I guarantee you if there was a coach like Pop they wouldnt be so bad on D, even with Harden.

allen is one of the best players all time off the ball. and pierce isn't or wasnt ever as ball dominant as harden. not to mention when rondo actually got the reigns of the offense, they weren't even a good offense...and later were one of the bottom 5 offenses in the league. his lack of shooting is a big problem that can be exploited. those celtics teams were good cuz of their defensive system, and kg was the hub of that. rondo despite his assist #'s has not shown he's a good offensive player because he hasn't proven he can lead very good offenses.

wtf is rondo gonna do when harden has the ball (which will happen...he should have the ball cuz he's a better offensive player than rondo)? rondo will spot up? lol.

i wouldn't be completely opposed to rondo if we got him for cheap. but that's not going to happen...so i don't want him, nor do i buy the source of the rumor anyway.

our problems are defensive rebounding, defensive consistency, poor 3 pt shooting, and then maybe halfcourt offense. and while rondo is a good defender/good rebounder....in that aspect he's not a huge upgrade over bev. i aint saying bev is as good as rondo, cuz he's not...cuz beverely is horrible in almost all aspects of offense, while rondo can at least break down a d. but rondo isn't gonna improve that by a huge margin...cuz he's just a pg. he's gonna make our shooting worse, and hasn't proven he's a great offensive pg in the halfcourt either.

    meh.

I never liked Rondo but just for the sake of playmaking I'll take him. That's how bad we need him.

I think Rondo has more than proven himself as a championship point guard. Comparing Rondo to Jeremy Lin shows either a lack of basketball knowledge or denial of reality by fanatical fans. The question isn't whether we want him or not, the question is can we get him.

Naw, McHale only does that because he's been plotting to ruin Lin's career...

Not when he was an up and comer. Once Rondo felt established he clashed with them and Rivers. How do you piss off Ray Allen?!?! He' the nicest guy in the league!

People have incorrect memories. When the C's won the title, it was in spite of Rondo, he was the weakest link of the starting 5. In the finals vs LA he rotted on the bench half the time. In 3 of the 7 games he played less than 22 minutes.
