Even if ya didn't like Ilya, I could've done something like Conley-Klay/Green-George-Bron-Hibbert line-up. This was a beast squad. :(

Idk man. Today, I'd take a healthy Rose and Love over Dirk and Dwill, no question. I'd probably take Lopez over Asik too. But hey all that really matters is the win. Everything else is hypothetical :p

    Not in 2012. :p

Well, every squad that has good spacing like that and LeBron is a beast. But Conley, George, Hibbert are much better now than they were back then. Klay too.
At that point, lots of people thought Hibbert was getting overpaid with a max contract, and it was a fair take. He was still battling with asthma, couldn't handle big minutes, played decent but not great D, lacked strength and mobility, and was so inconsistent.
George couldn't dribble, he had no midrange game at all and was a poor help defender. Right now he has very good midrange game, good handle, euro step and fadeaway, and he's probably the best help defender among all wings in the league. He's so much better defensively right now than Ron Artest ever was, and Ron was DPOY.
Conley was getting lots of steals but he wasn't a great defender overall, Memphis was taking him off tougher matchups and using Tony Allen. And he was just a role player on the offensive end. Now he's a very good defender and one of the better offensive points.

Just such a different team now compared to what it was back then.

    Hibbert sucked back then.

    Garnett didn't suck back then.

If he had current George next to healthy Rose/Love though.. It would be tough not to take his team.

As for Asik, he gets way overrated in these drafts. Top 5-ish defensive center, depending on who's healthy. But such a limited offense. An average starting center overall. Brook is the best offensive center in the league when healthy, and he blocks some shots. A flawed player obviously but that's a legit all star every year if he managed to stay healthy vs. at best a borderline all star.

Anyway, we should probably stop talking about that draft, because it will lead to the whole secret voting thing.. and then 123r will never pick. :)

Sometimes I'm scared because this draft is going so fast, the rush&thrill might give me cardiac arrest.
