Not sure if I'd even do this trade. Crazy I know. Jones just might be an important piece to a championship contender. Jones confidence has to be growing by the game and with his skill set he could develop into a very nice player for the Rockets longterm. It's still early, but who can argue with his production at this point? Remember this summer when Dwight said T Jones was going to surprise people? How right he was.
I'd do that, but honestly the Hawks probably don't. They want to keep their picks most likely. At least that is the impression I get from most their fans.
If Jones keeps putting up 20/10/2 over the next ten games (before deadline), does Minny take the bait? It would probably be Assik/Lin/Jones for Kevin Love. My concern, there, is that Love might walk and leave us with no 2014 pick and a hole at the four. I would have jumped on it two weeks ago, but if we're looking at Jones' new normal (or even if his new normal is a notch below tonight), is it really worth the risk? Much rather see Morey get a point guard upgrade.
I always thought you were a serious Rockets Fan!. May I suggest you need to pay closer attention to the latest progress being made by Terry Jones. We need Jones, not only as he full of promise but seems to already making major contributions. Morey should not make a serious mistake by trading Jones. We already have so many players who need to be upgraded, certainly not Terry Jones. Y
love wouldn't walk...it'd be very hard for him to leave harden, howard, and especially parsons. after so many years being in the gutter..he would have a real chance of winning a championship. I mean..has he even made the playoffs w/the wolves?
If D. Mo can build on his recent resurgence, we will really be in good shape asset wise and be able to put together a much more attractive package. I hope D. Mo can turn it around.
T-Jones... might be a great PF. Obviously has the potential. But potential is just potential. K-Love is a great PF. Big difference. If Morey has the opportunity, he will trade Jones + (anything but harden/howard)
Agreed. I'm a huge fan of Jones, but if he can get us Love, then th emove must be made. It's worth the risk of a 1 year rental, and if Love stays, we screwed LA again - bonus!!
Jones for PPat so Carl can get his favorite player back!! On a serious note, Jones is beasting right now. I would only trade him if it brought back Love or Aldridge.
Nope. Don't trade him unless it's for a perennial all-star. His production, on his contract, is crazy valuable. Almost irreplaceable.
Jones has been amazing , I was at the game and couldn't believe he had 25 by half time. I don't like to look for the negative things especially when the party is all out but his lack of shooting ability still hurts the team. If he could just hit that jumper consistently we would have a perfect fit. Not sure if he will be able to get these points against better teams.
Unless Rox can get some how get Love or LMA back in a trade for Tjones, you can't trade him. He's only 22 and with playing time he is only going to get better.
Jones for Davis! But then its always nice to see a young player playing big. Hopefully this continue to grow his confidence.
TJones is playing great, but he's still not a perfect fit for this team. Good defensive teams will shut down the lane against him, which limits the the effectiveness of Harden and Howard. We need a guy that can shoot and rebound.....ie Love.
It's only his 2nd year. The midrange jumper is something he can work on. Can Love give us shotblocking? TJones has close to everything that our team needs a PF to provide. He also has the respect of his superstar teammates. He works well with Dwight. I'd say No. Upgrade the 1 and get back-ups for 2 and 5.
