That's what I'm talking about, Svpernaut, those should be in the other shows, not the news. Dude, suicide bombings and school shootings ARE out of the ordinary. These are newsworthy things for many families and many people who otherwise wouldn't know about this and it affects them. Negatively or positively, yeah, sure... but... what does a mom surprising a son at a basketball game do for many families? I don't know that it does the same as people bombing a mall or some dude shooting a school.
Guess that would be answered by your definition of news. To me, its just that, new (not being seen or known before hand). This can easily be seen as sport news in all honesty, for your sakes.
One seems to turn out almost every other month in the US... and sometimes in consecutive months... Haven't we had two or three just this month...? Of course not, it affects them positively, gives them a brief reminder of the good aspects of humanity among all the constant examples society is exposed to of the worst of humanity...
Well if this is sports news, can we criticize these folks violating the integrity of the game with fake techs? /s
Likewise, I can't seem to see a month pass by without seeing, hearing about, or reading an article about a suicide bombing having taken place in some part/s of the world...
You must be a blast at parties. Why did Marvin Zindler make a career out of slime in the ice machine? Because it was funny - and people like funny. Nearly every newscast ends on a not-so-serious or light-hearted story, this isn't something that is new. I'm sorry that after 22 minutes of hearing about murders, war, corrupt politicians and our evil world that people want to leave on a good note. If you don't like it, you don't have to watch it... but I doubt the news studios get many complaints about their feel good stories.
The TV Stations don't get calls because people don't want to ask questions like mine because they're afraid of not standing up for their opinions, Svpernaut, that's why. Of course, I'm a blast at parties. So what if I have a question about news or stories of military moms? I'll also have a decent and civilized conversation with people and I will state my opinion without worrying that what I think is right or wrong should be said... if I'm wrong so be it, but I just ask questions and I'll inform myself. LOL @ fake technical foul comment by shasta... I wonder if they count. People who went to cheer the opposite team are all "WTF?!?!? Why did our coach get a tech?!?!? dang it!" You're going to tell me you haven't seen dozens if not hundreds of these on YouTube already? Most of these things are staged. If anything, these are more personal things that don't need to be shown in front of hundreds of people at a high school basketball game. So then bombings are LESS common than the military person surprising a family member ON CAMERA, at a FIXED event? Y'all take this too freakin' seriously. It was just a question and y'all are all mad n'crap.
Have you ever called a TV station to ask this question? Or are you also afraid to stand up for your opinion? When everyone reacts the same way to you, perhaps the problem is you instead of everyone else.
I don't have a problem with these sorts of stories, why would I call the news station? And trust me, I never have a problem standing up for my opinion.
No. I ask here because I see it here that it's on some channel's news. It's not my opinion, it's my question.
She should have blocked the second shot. Also, why did she get the special welcome? Serving in Kuwait is like having to work in North Dakota for 8 months -- Bush melted Kuwait during WWIII. Why is is news Swollen-D -- well, it's not it's knew(s).
a fake tech? who is rigging these games? stern and his minions? talk about killing the integrity of the game! (garm mode off) loved the reaction. I'd rather see this on the news than the depressing violence.
