    I usually don't try to ask out co-workers , I have tried once a few years ago and didn't work for the better. Too much drama with all the women and gossip around office.

    But should I even try an Apartment leasing staff member? (Hispanic gorgeous).

    Screw the gossip. I can't stand how other people can influence what I do in my life. The big problem is it will be weird at work if things dont work out

    Happy hour is an easy in. Have a few drinks, flirt a bit - and if she's into it, take the plunge. What's the worst that will happen? She says no? She tells others you asked her out? Big deal.

    Then just ask her, you have nothing to lose. If you have doubts, suggest something casual - again, like "I'm heading to happy hour for a few beers, wanna come?"

    If she has an excuse, she may not be in to you ("Oh, my niece has a dance recital tonight, sorry!")... but ask her again at a later time. If she has another excuse, you have your answer.

    Honestly I don't hesitate with girls at clubs/bars / back in college. But with office/apt/church. I am lil more careful these days after the past few years.

    An old roommate of mine faced this same dilemma. Fortunately, before taking the dive he found her on Facebook and discovered she was married. Figuring she probably lived with her hubby at that apartment complex, he decided it would be unwise to pursue.
